Liv x Bucky

Liv hadn't seen her boyfriend, Bucky Barnes, since the Civil War, when he'd gone to fight with Captain America.

It was very lonely.

Liv had been out shopping when she spotted a man selling plums.

Plums were Bucky's favourite.

She bought five, wordlessly, and headed back to her apartment.

She unlocked her door, opened it, and instantly reached for the bat she keeps by the door.

There was someone in her house, standing by the photos she had of her and Bucky. The intruder seemed to be admiring them.

"Hey idiot. You chose the wrong apartment." Liv yelled and smashed the bat on the man, but he blocked it was with arm.

Liv heard a shattering sound, and it turned out to be her bat. A metal arm glimmered in the sunlight from the window.

Liv would recognize that arm anywhere.

"Bucky?" Liv questioned, quietly.

The man gave a small smile. "Hey Liv."

Liv threw his arms around him and kissed him, Bucky returning it instantly.

"I've missed you Liv," Bucky smiled, "I've missed you a lot."

"So have I. So shut up and kiss me." Liv smashed her lips back onto Bucky's lips.

"Liv I cant stay long." Bucky sighed, regretfully as he broke the kiss.

"Why what's happened? I know that there was this Civil War between the Avengers but-"

"Something big is coming," Bucky said forebodingly.

"You wouldn't have come by if it wasn't important. So what is it?" Liv asked, seriously concerned.

Bucky's eyes darted around the dark apartment, as if expecting to see someone as he dropped his voice to a whisper.

"Liv I might not come back alive."

The sound of shattering glass distracted them both, with Liv raising her still totally threatening broken bat, and Bucky with his shining arm.

Standing there was Captain America himself.

"Jesus, Steve you gave me a heart attack." Bucky sighed in relief and lowered his arm.

"Hey spangled stars. I don't care how many times you save the city, you're paying for that window." Liv snapped, mad that he'd broken her window.

"Uh, Yes ma'am. Buck, we gotta go. They know you're here."

"Shit." Bucky swore and Liv's could've sworn she heard Steve mutter, "language."

Then the men dressed in black kicked down Liv's door and started firing their guns.

Captain American lunged in front of Liv, who was the only one without a reflecting, bulletproof surface of some kind.

Since Liv was basically trapped behind the shield, she couldn't see what Bucky was doing but trusted that he was kicking their asses.

"I took care of the guns!" Bucky yelled a second later and Steve took that as the sign that it was safe for Liv now.

He swiftly threw his shield at one of them and it hit him in the face. He groaned before flopping unconscious onto the ground.

Liv grinned. Now that there were no guns, she really wanted to punch someone.

So she cornered one of them and punched them in the gut, and taking advantage of his confusion to slam his head into the wall.

Steve looked over as Liv roundhouse kicked someone into the wall.

"You chose a good one Bucky!" He called to Bucky, who had just kicked one of them into a walls.

"Please! I chose him!" Liv yelled back and ducked to dodge a punch before punching his jaw.

Steve laughed. "I think this is the best girlfriend you've had Bucky."

"I think you're right." Bucky smiled, looking over at Liv before remembering he was in the middle of a fight and ducked before scooping up a guy and throwing him onto the ground.

"Damn right I'm the best!" Liv replied and dodged a kick.

Eventually, all the bad men were unconscious on the floor.

"Who are they?" Liv asked, looking at Bucky, "and what did they want?"

Bucky and Steve exchanged looks and Bucky cleared his throat. "Sorry Liv. Classified."

"Come on. When have you or I ever cared about the rules?" She questioned as she raised an eyebrow.

"Oh I don't. I blame Steve."

Steve glared at Bucky but sighed. "We need to go before they send another squad."

Liv and Bucky nodded. Liv quickly grabbed her suitcase and shoved her clothes into it. She grabbed her purse and shoved in her wallet, phone and her favourite photo of her and Bucky.

When Liv was ready, they ran a block away from Liv's now ruined apartment, with Bucky carrying Liv's suitcase because he was strong enough to carry it without getting weighted down.

After they stopped running and Liv caught her breath, the subject of where Liv would go now was discussed.

"Do you have anyone you can trust with your life?" Bucky asked, concerned for his girlfriend.

"There's this camp I used to go it. It's really only for teenagers, but the person who runs it would definitely welcome me." Liv told him, positively. "I went there for years."

"Okay. You should probably go Liv. Go to that camp." Bucky warned.

"I still say I could help you here. Get me a shield or something and I'll kick ass with you. I'm good at that." Liv offered.

"I know you are." Bucky smirked.

Liv smirked, and her eyes seemed to sparkle with mischief.

Bucky gave her an odd look when Liv smashed her lips onto his.

When she broke it, Bucky was blushing a light shade of pink.

"Go save the world." Liv smirked, took her suitcase and ran off.

Steve laughed at his friend. "Good job Buck. You finally got a girl after 80 years."

Bucky shook his head and smirked. "Unlike you."

"Hey!"
