Fordan

This is a soulmate AU where everything is black and white until you meet your soulmate, then everything is colourful. When your soulmate dies, your world goes back to colourless.

Finn grinned as Jordan kissed his forehead. Jordan smirked and rolled out of bed and headed to the bathroom. Finn sat up and grinned at the bright blue wall.

Finn and Jordan's life motto could basically be described in two words.

COLOR. EVERYWHERE.

Both of them wanted to enjoy the blessing of having each other and seeing colour.

There was no white, grey, black or brown anywhere in their house. Only colour.

Jordan came out and started getting dressed. Jordan was 26, and Finn was 25. They've been married for 4 years. They live together and everything. They've done the deed as well.

After a few minutes, Finn was ready to leave for his job at the library. Finn worked part time at a local library while Jordan was Marvel employee.

Honestly, Jordan exaggerates being a Marvel Employee. He makes it sound important but really he just helps with cameras when making movies.

But Finn loves the excited gleam in Jordan's eyes when he started talking about Marvel.

"Off to Narnia?" Jordan teased Finn as he started eating a granola bar. "Or Hogwarts?"

"As long as it's not the Capital, I don't really care." Finn chuckled, taking a bite of toast.

Jordan kissed the top of Finn's head before closing the door and leaving. Finn chuckled as he realized that Jordan had forgotten his keys.

Sure enough, Jordan darted back into the room with a sheepish grin. "Forgot my keys." He chuckled sheepishly, as he grabbed the keys and kissed Finn once more before actually leaving. "Love you!" He called.

"Love you too goofball." Finn replied, laughing. Finn smiled to himself before grabbing his set of keys and headed off to work. Finn entered the library ten minutes later and was immediately behind the register.

Finn smiled as he saw a brave girl running up to everybody in the room and making eye contact with all of them.

He hoped she'd be as happy as he was with Jordan.

A young boy slid his book over to Finn. Finn smiled at the book.

Chronicles of Narnia book 1. Jordan's favourite.

Finn stared at the yellow lion on the cover for a second before realizing something horrible.

The lion was slowly fading to grey. "No," Finn whispered as the world got darker around him. "No no no no no."

Finn closed his eyes taking heavy breaths. There was no doubt that the boy was confused.

Finn slowly opened his eyes and gasped in horror.

The world was yet again, black and grey.

"No. No!" Finn hissed furiously before slowly starting to cry. The only way his colour vision could be lost was if his soulmate died.

This meant Jordan was dead.

Finn broke down in a mess of tears, his sobs filling the quiet library.

Finn's boss came around to check on his. "My GOD Finn what's happened?" The older woman asked kindly.

"J-Jordan...he-he's d-dead." Finn whispered as he kept crying.

"Aye, shut 'im up! I'm studin' over here!" A rude voice called.

"This man has lost his soulmate just now young man. Your studying will have to wait." The woman snapped as she escorted Finn to the back room.

Finn couldn't stop crying. He realized now what a terrible choice he'd made, painting the house bright colours.

Now they would taught him, being there but he couldn't see it.

Not without Jordan.

A radio was playing in the back room and Finn was only half listening to the news. He only started listening when he heard Jordan's name.

"-Jordan, a Marvel Camera Operator was on his way to work when he noticed a little girl crossing the street alone. However, a car didn't see the girl. Jordan, in a split second, make the choice to dive in front of the girl, and ended up saving her life while losing his own. Jordan was rushed to a hospital but it wasn't enough. Jordan's last words were, "I'm so sorry Finn," who we assume would be his soulmate. Wherever you are Finn, I'm incredibly sorry for your lose."

Finn threw the radio across the room and sobbed.

'Of course Jordan would die as a hero', Finn thought.

'But he was suppose to live as mine.'
