Marinette stood on the path in front of the Eiffel Tower, watching be dark smoke swirl around the scene, with the destroyed Paris surrounding her. Her arm was bleeding and Hawkmoth had hurt her so bad, she had transformed out of Ladybug.

Except it wasn't Hawkmoth who hurt her.

It was Chat Noir.

Or Chat Blanc as he was called now.

It was all her fault. She shouldn't have snapped at him for something me couldn't control.

She shouldn't have told him he was a useless alley cat in their arguing. He was only scared for her.

And because of her he had been akunamatized. It was all her fault.

Hawkmoth laughed as he was perched on the ledge of the Eiffel Tower. "Bring me her Miraculous!" He ordered Chat Blanc.

Chat Blanc said nothing, with his usually black costume a dim white colour instead. "No!" Alya screamed at Marinette. "Come back!"

Marinette stood there, waiting for him to get her.

She heard the screams of Alya, who had been given the Fox Miraculous with Nino, gifted with the Tortoise Miraculous, holding her back. Both were crying with horrible bruises they'd received from their friend.

Marinette saw Chloé in her Bumblebee suit. Chloé was sobbing. A full blown ugly sob, with a nasty cut in her side.

They all knew how in love Ladybug and Chat were.

And now them seeing it was Marinette that was Ladybug was adding to the pain.

Marinette looked sadly into Chat Blanc's emotionless face, with tears tugging at her eyes.

Chat Blanc readied his Cataclysm, prepared to kill her.

Chat Blanc stood in front of her now, with his Cataclysm ready.

He raised his claw, glistening with the dark power of destruction.

Marinette started crying as flashes of the bright, optimistic Chat Noir teasing her and making puns flooded her mind. The sweet, kind Adrien who couldn't hurt a butterfly.

Hawkmoth had stolen her Adrien.

She raised her hand to his cheek.

Her hand was on his cheek while she was crying. Chat Blanc hesitated. Marinette saw her chance and kissed him, in desperation, regret, sorrow, and most of all, love.

Who you truly are

Marinette broke the kiss.

The purple vanished from Chat Noir's eyes as his costume turned black instead of white. He lowered his claws, horrified.

"M-Marinette?" He whispered, scared.

More tears flooded Marinette's eyes. "Hey kitty."

"What have I done?" Chat Noir muttered horrified. "What have I done?!" He screamed, tears pouring down his face. He threw his Cataclysm on the ground, doing nothing.

He looked at his beloved Paris. It was destroyed, smoke and fire everywhere. No building was unharmed.

Because of him.

"No. No no NO!" Chat Noir collapsed to the ground in a pile of tears. Marinette her a hand on his shoulder.

"Get away from me Marinette, I'm a monster." He sobbed, pushing her hand off him.

"Please Chat No-"

"Don't! Don't call me that," he sobbed, "that's the name that destroyed the city."

"That was Chat Blanc-"

"They're the same person!" He was screaming now with tears in his eyes. "Same power, same person."

"No. Don't you dare blame yourself. It's Hawkmoth's fault, all of it. And mine. I was the job who made you so upset that you got akun-"

"No Marinette it's my fault. All mine. I shouldn't have let him get to me, I should've fought harder, I-"

"No. Don't you dare. You're only human Adrien. We all have breaking points." She whispered to him.

Chat Noir transformed back into Adrien and threw himself into Marinette's shoulder.

Nino gasped as he saw it was Adrien, his best friend. Adrien caused all this. Nino felt horrible for him. Adrien was the sweetest guy he'd ever met.

Alya gaped at Adrien. She really was a horrible investigator, and couldn't believe Adrien had just destroyed the city.

Chloé couldn't react. Her Adrikens just destroyed her city. Chloe knew Adrien's guilt would eat him alive. The city could never look at the comedic hero the same way again.

Hawkmoth started laughing, not seeing who Chat Noir really was.

"Now this is cute." He mused.

Suddenly, Adrien turned. "Father..." he muttered, horrified.

Marinette heard him and gasped.

"FATHER!" Adrien roared as he grabbed Marinette's hand and made his way to HawkMoth.

"A-Adrien?" Hawkmoth said in disbelief.

"You're going to pay father. You'll be lucky if you survive!" He roared and transformed into Chat Noir while Marinette into Ladybug.

And they attacked.
