Personality:
Terra is a girl who jokes around a lot with people and messes with them. It's a rare thing to see Terra act serious or show emotions other than her joking around. It's mainly in fear that too much of any emotions will bring out Dark Terra. A big stand out about Terra is her humor/how she acts towards other people. What she'll often do (even in the worst situations) is that she'll poke fun at people or make comments that can embarrass them. It can be often assumed that Terra is a cold and rude girl. And that is true, but part of it is due to the lack of trust she has within people. Most of the time, she believes people might harm her grandmother and the girl will practically kill anyone that lays a finger on her grandmother.

Background:

Terra comes from a long line of witches, dating all the way back to the Salem Witch Trials. While her mother never showed signs of any magic, Terra's grandmother did who would be the one to train, mentor, and take care of Terra. When Terra was in high school, that's when she started showing signs of her magic. The biggest one was when she set fire to one of the chemistry rooms in the high school, which ultimately caused Terra to be taken out of high school. Emma Black would train and teach Terra how to use and control her abilities. Terra started to actually use her powers to help people when her grandmother's cabin was broken into one night while Terra was out. She joined the Avengers team in the fight against Loki, and they've been her second family.

Between Winter Soldier and Age of Ultron, Terra was searching, found, and had been trying to help him. She would try to use her magic to undo what HYDRA did (which hardly ever worked) but it ultimately (slightly) brought the two closer together in a way where they understood each other. During that time as well (can be seen during Civil War) Terra was able to control her darker self and even create a friendship with her "evil" persona.
