Payton is similar to her father. It is very rare that she'll take something seriously, and she would much rather spend a day having fun than doing work. Payton is a natural-born leader, leading the Lost Children on the island like how Pan lead the Lost Boys. The girl gets anxious with the idea of school, having no formal education on Neverland. So while she often goes by the idea of going after any challenge, school is the one thing she'll avoid. Payton is very forward with people and will hardly ever filter the words that come out of her mouth.

Background:

Payton was born and grew up outside of Neverland with her parents. They moved back to Neverland to continue a long life there. At least, Payton and her dad did. Her mother stayed behind to have a normal life, growing old and slowly passing away. But Payton spent most of her life on Neverland, enjoying life with no rules and little responsibilities. That is until Ben made a treaty with Peter Pan, allowing children from Neverland to go to Auradon for an education. So Peter sent his own daughter, Payton, and her two friends (Makayla and Elliot) to Auradon to test out this new education from Auradon.
