Astrid is a mixture of cold-hearted and friendly. Most of the time she can be rude to people, even those that she calls her friends. But other times, to people that she truly cares about, she is friendly and will protect them. However, she can be found calm almost all day at any time. This is due to the fact that she holds her camera at all time, which is her only source of normalcy and tranquility. There are a few times where Astrid will go off on people and threaten them, but it all depends on what happened and who was involved.

Background:
Astrid's mother was killed during a nature photography session, and people claimed that it was due to a coyote or wolf attack. However, Astrid's father didn't believe that. Trying to find the source of what killed his wife, the man fell down the hole of the supernatural world, bringing his daughter with him. For the longest time, he would have Astrid kill other supernatural creatures before the girl finally broke away, joining Scott's pack and learning her true identity.

Astrid is a dragon rider. These people have their dragon's living inside of them, and they release the dragon with a road. Dragon riders are stronger and more agile than the normal human being, close to werewolves and other supernatural creatures. They are also repellent to fire and any extreme heat.
