American Horror Story: Freak Show One Shot

"Sshh..." Penny whispered, raising one finger to her lips as her ear pressed against the door, trying it's best to find any sign of her father.

"He'll be fine." You insisted, she gently pushed you away as you walked towards her but the smile on her scarlet painted lips only grew more evident. "Come on, stop worrying about him and join me." You lay propped against the headboard on her bed and beckoned her towards you. It took many moments contemplation but with unbridled naughtiness in her eyes she slowly made her way to you, careful to not upset any of the aged floorboards underneath her.

She lay her hands on the bed and crawled up towards you until she was looking down on you, her legs on either side of yours and her lips mere inches from yours. You felt her cool breath on your lips as her head slowly fell down onto yours.

"Penelope!" Harsh hands rapped on the door with great force, Penny's face twisted into horror as she pulled off from you and rushed over to the door. "I can hear you in there, tell me what is going on." The distinct sound of a cocking hunting rifle echoed through your head as your heart sank, being a deft smooth talker let you escape many situations but this probably would not be one of them.

"Just give me a moment." Penny's voice shook as she covered up her revealing outfit with a much more conservative and covering gown. You had frozen in fear, Penny quickly ushered you under the bed once you had realised the windows had been securely locked.

"One more moment and I'm blasting this damn door off it's hinges!" It was a claustrophobic fit under Penny's bed when you had hoped so much to be with her on top of it, all you could see was her timid feet slowly walking towards the door.

"Finally. Now tell me what is going on in here." Light filled the room as a second pair of feet presented itself. "Start talking." A glimmering barrel could be seen pointing just above the floor and it's very presence sent shivers down your spine. "I said, start talking."

"I... I just had the radio on, no need to go so crazy."

"Do you think I'm stupid." Penny took small steps backwards, but her father quickly filled the gap, each time he finished closer and closer until Penny and her father were only a few inches from you.
