Wild Child One Shot

Living in an all-girls school could be an absolute nightmare at times, especially when the head girl hated you and was blatantly after your boyfriend.

You loved Freddie, of course you did, but you saw the way Harriet looked at him and you absolutely despised it.

It was no secret that Harriet had had a crush on Freddie for a long time, way before you and he had started dating and she had clearly taken offence to the fact that you were Freddie's girlfriend.

Never once had you ever wanted to doubt Freddie because you trusted him, but when Charlotte – one of Harriet's friends – showed you a video of Harriet being in very close proximity with Freddie in his car you had panicked.

There was no reason for Harriet to be with Freddie in his car nor should he have just sat there and not made an effort to push her away.

Still in a state of upset and crying you made your way to Freddie's room and opened the door without knocking.

Freddie looked up from his desk in surprise, but that quickly changed to concern when he realised you were crying.

"Darling, what happened?" he questioned as he stood up and went to move towards you.

You stuck a hand out to stop him. "Why was Harriet in your car?"

"What?"

"Why was Harriet in your car?!"

He sighed. "She got in when I pulled up the other day, she said she wanted to talk to me and so she talked to me."

"And her talking to you requires her to be close enough to breathe on your face does it?"

"Y/N, what are you on about?" he quizzed out of confusion.

You wiped some tears from under your eyes. "Charlotte showed me a video of Harriet in your car, her close enough to be kissing you and her hand was on your thigh."

"And your believing it?"

"It was a video Freddie! Not some fake picture or an out of focus clip, you can clearly see it was you and your car and of course it was bloody Harriet."

He ran his hand through his hair out of frustration. "Nothing happened Y/N, why would it? I don't like Harriet in that way, and I love you!"

"Yeah well you clearly don't if you made no effort to push her away," you stated as your breath hitched from crying so much. "It's done Freddie, why don't I go and tell Harriet for you?"

Without letting him respond, you opened his door and walked back down the hallway with the intent of heading for your dorm.

You weren't paying attention to where you were walking and ended up bumping into someone.

As you looked up you went to apologise but you froze when you saw Harriet looking back at you with a very annoying smirk on her face.

"I'm sorry. I wasn't looking where I was going," you quickly apologised and then went to carry on, but Harriet stepped in front of you.

"Why are you crying?"

You rolled your eyes. "Don't play innocent Harriet, I'm really not in the mood."

"Oh, did you and Freddie finally break up?"

"Perfect timing for you then isn't it? Have fun as you clearly can't stand the fact that he loves someone else."

You pushed your way past her, but you turned around when you heard Freddie call out for you.

He stood and looked at Harriet with anger written across his features.

"How dare you set out to sabotage my relationship like that! I don't even like you Harriet so give up and leave me be with the girl that I actually love," he ranted at her and you could tell he was getting angrier by the minute. "I swear if I see you even talking to Y/N with the intent of upsetting her or sending one of your minions anywhere near her I will get my mother on you and I will ensure that you are stripped of your head girl post at the very least."

He stormed past Harriet and made his way straight to you.

"Y/N, I promise you nothing would ever happen between me and another girl let alone Harriet because I love you – I am completely and utterly in love with you and I would never do anything to hurt you."

You smiled at him before letting him wipe the tears from your cheeks. "I overreacted, I should've come to you calmly."

He shook his head, pulling you into his arms. "Let's go and calm down and we can talk through everything afterwards."

The two of you walked back to his room whilst Freddie threw a glare at Harriet for good measure.

"We'll be okay Darling, I promise."
