Fatin Jadmani- Waterfall: Part 1 (c)
The Wilds One Shot
Although you disliked conflict, you couldn't blame Fatin's reaction as she stormed off into the forest and to wherever she could find on that terrible island. You didn't imagine that a shelter building contest was going to end well, it would likely only result in two shoddily built half structures until you all ended up stuck sleeping on the beach again without any safety from the incoming elements.
With the rest able to sort the situation on the beach and what was left of the shelter's, you headed off in the same direction as Fatin, hoping to find her and not end up lost in the overgrowth. You called out her name over and over as you trailed through, trying to follow any signs of her but you were starting to doubt that you were going in the right direction until you heard her swear.
"Fatin?" You called once more; your throat having started to feel raw from your repeated shouting in your search from her.
"Y/N?" She responded.
The two of you exchanged names a couple more times until you managed to catch up to her. You hoped that when you finally caught up to her, you'd end up heading back to the makeshift camp, but she continued on walking in the direction she had been heading and you weren't about to leave her now that you'd found her.
"Where are you going?" You questioned, your breathing uneven from walking on the uneven terrain for a while.
"I don't know," she shrugged. "Just nowhere near that psycho bitch."
You let out a tired chuckle. "I don't know if I'd call Leah those exact words, but I get where you're coming from."
She went to argue and reiterate that Leah was in fact a 'psycho bitch' but as she pushed past the overhanging leaves, her breath was taken.
"Holy shit."
You moved to be beside her so that you could see what had caught her in her place. In front of you was a running waterfall with a sizeable pool of water below it. You had never been so excited to find a natural flow of water in your life.
"Is that what I think it is?" You grinned.
"If you think it's a unicorn then you're wrong," she stated, a smile curling onto her lips. "Part of me wants to stay here and leave them to struggle, but I guess we've got to tell them."
You took her hand, giving it a squeeze. "We don't have to head back just yet."
