Tej Parker- Wrapping Paper (h)
Fast and Furious One Shot
Now usually you loved wrapping Christmas presents, every year you'd out your favourite film on, get a bottle of something and sit down and get all your presents wrapped.
But this year it had just been pure stress, at first you couldn't get presents for everyone, then you didn't know where you and Tej were spending Christmas and now the wrapping paper just wasn't cooperating.
You had hoped it would get you in a more festive mood, and for the most part it had but Tej had insisted on getting little Jack the most awkward present to wrap ever.
Tej came home from his last-minute Christmas shopping and spotted you in the living room essentially wrestling with the wrapping paper.
He walked in and leant against the door frame for a few moments, observing you and wondering how long you'd been struggling to wrap Jack's present.
"Hey baby," he came to sit next to you on the sofa. "What are you doing to that poor wrapping paper?"
You sighed in frustration as you looked at the crimpled balls of wrapping paper around you and Jack's present in the middle of it all. "It just won't cooperate with me! Every time I try to fold it it won't fold; every time I try to cut the tape the paper will move so I have to rewrap the present."
Tej couldn't help but laugh, which wasn't the right move at how stressed you were.
"You were the one that wanted to buy him this!" you gestured to the most awkwardly shaped ride on car ever.
"I know baby," Tej conceded as he pulled you up onto his lap on the sofa. "And I'm sorry that it's awkward to wrap."
"You should be," you mumbled against his chest. "It is all your fault."
He chuckled. "Nothing new there is there?"
Laughing, you nodded in agreement. "Just help me wrap it?" you asked with puppy dog eyes. "I got literally everything else wrapped, it's just that annoyance of a present that refuses to be wrapped."
Tej chuckled again. "Why don't we just stick a bow on it?" he nodded his head to the shiny stick on bows you had next to the wrapping paper.
"But that's so boring!" you protested. "Doesn't it completely defeat the object of giving a present if you can see what it is?"
"He's 4 baby, he isn't going to care about wrapping paper, he'll just want the toy," Tej tried to explain to you, but you pouted at him.
You made a move to sit on the floor again and rolled out some wrapping paper beneath the car. "I refuse to be defeated by wrapping paper."
Tej sighed and moved to sit opposite you, with the present now in the middle of you. "Alright then, if you want to fight the wrapping paper I'll fight it with you."
You giggled but leant over the present to kiss him. "That's more like it."
