"Y/N" You hear someone yell with little urgency. You turn around to see your best friend, Jim Kirk, jogging towards you. He was followed by your other best friend, Leonard McCoy, or Bones, as Jim called him.

"What's up Jim?" You ask after he catches up. "How are you Leonard?"

Leonard nods good and looks at Jim. Jim signaled him to leave so he did.

"So, Y/N, I'm going to a bar as a sorta celebration of me turning 24. It was Bones idea. Do you wanna come?" He asks.

"Wait, like a date or just the 3 of us friends hanging out at a bar." You ask. He think for a minute.

"As a date." He decides. You were so shocked you dropped the PADD and books you were carrying. It took another minute to register.

"Jim, wow. Really? A date? What about Leonard." You ask, still not picking up the books. He bends down and gathers the books and PADD.

"I don't think he'll be too angry. I'm pretty sure the only reason he wanted this was for us to date." He responds. You both laughed. Leonard McCoy, a matchmaker. That was the funniest thing you have heard all day.

"C'mon, I'll walk you to your room." Jim said, still carrying your things. The walk was kinda awkward. He was still waiting for you answer.

When you got to your dorm, you opened the door. Jim handed you the PADD and the books.

"So, are you going to say yes or no to the date?" He asks. You pretended to think, as if the question were terribly hard.

"My answer is yes," you say, a smile creeping onto your face. He smiled as well, unable to hide his happiness.
