"This still doesn't seem very safe." You say walking behind Jim Shannon. His family, including your boyfriend Josh, and Commander Taylor were OTG for an experiment. They wanted to see if a family could survive in the wild for a while, Taylor was just along for results.

Some poor family with kids about all your ages had gotten lost when they came through the portal. It's been five years sense the pilgrimage you and Josh's family had came through. Maddy even had Mark along on this trip.

"We'll be fine, Y/N. If not, you've got Shannon's boy protecting you." Taylor said, jokingly. You glanced over at Josh and he smiled.

"I guess I'll protect her. I do love her." Josh said, giving you a quick hug. No one really spoke until you found a good campsite. Maddy and Mark went out looking for fire wood, but they haven't been back in a few minutes. They were twenty-one and twenty-three after all.

You and Josh were in charge of finding fire wood on the other side of the camp. Zoey, who was now twelve, helped her mother prepare food. Taylor and Jim were trying to start a fire using flint and stone, along with some paper. Not really roughing it, but it was a lot different than any of you were used to.

Once everyone returned with the fire wood, a huge fire was started. A smaller one was started for cooking, while the big on was reserved for keeping dinosaurs away. When picking the spot, everyone was careful that you wouldn't be in slasher, or any Dino for that matter, territory.

You helped Zoey and Maddy cook food, while some of the men went hunting. Josh and Mark stayed back, even though you girls said you fight on your own. I guess something's never change.

"Hey, need any help?" Mark asked, wrapping an arm around Maddy.

"I think we got it." You say. Sadly he got up and walked away. Bet they wish they had gone hunting after all. Zoey had wanted to go, but they said she shouldn't because of the whole killing dinosaurs. She's had that obsession sense she was seven. Josh got up and sat next to you anyway.

Later that night, everyone was sitting by the huge fire, eating dinner and talking. You were cuddled up close to Josh, it was getting pretty cold out. Maddy was very close to Mark, who was getting some looks from Jim.

In the end, all of you made it back to Terra Nova well. Nothing bad happened and no one got severely injured or sick. This has to be some kind of record.
