Charles Xavier [X-Men]*

This is written in shorter glimpses sorta, but I hope you all enjoy anyway!! Dedicated to @KobayashiMarue for letting me use a name she thought up. Not my best.
Also, Hank isn't Beast in this. He's normal Hank, not the furry blue one. I don't know how else to describe it haha.

You watched the plane take off, your husband on board. Your goodbyes had been said earlier this morning, neither of you wanting to admit that he may not come back. Your husband, Charles Xavier, was traveling on a fairly simple mission to find new mutants, but some of those mutants were dangerous.

"He'll be okay, I hope." Raven assured you, her hand resting on your shoulder. You swallow your tears, nodding your head. Believing her was something you couldn't do right now, but it was worth a try.

--------------

A few weeks passed since Charles left and something was wrong with you. You were late by three weeks, you had gained some weight. Fear struck your very core at what could possibly be happening, but you didn't want to admit it. Charles wouldn't be home for months, he wouldn't be there to help you.

"Raven, Hank, can I talk to you two?" You try to say, but it came out as barely a whisper. They looked up, concern spreading on their faces as a tear rolled down your right cheek.

"What's up?" Hank asked, putting away his papers. You sat across from the two of them, a paper bag clasped tightly in your hand.

"I-I d-didn't want to be a-alone when I t-took these." You stutter out, pulling two pregnancy tests out of the bag. Both of their mouths dropped slightly, a dark red blush creeping onto your cheeks.

"We'll be here, whatever you need. Can I ask though, if you are.. you know.. who's is it?" Raven asked, searching for the correct words. You squinted your eyes in confusion, trying to comprehend what she was suggesting.

"It'll be Hank's. I'm sorry Raven, but I had an affair with him." You joke, feeling good to laugh. Hank sputtered and gagged on his own saliva, his eyes widening with pure terror.

"No! No, Raven, I-I swear we never, Y/N and I never-" Hank began to furiously stutter, his hands beginning to tremble. "I would never do that to you or Charles or-"

"It's a joke Hank, a joke. I needed that." You smile, standing from the chair to go to the bathroom. You were terrified, but with the mood lightened, you thought now was best.

Ten minutes passed and the results of both tests came back. They were positive.

--------------

A few months later and you were swollen like an enlarged balloon. There had been word from Charles, he was still alive and would be back in a month. All the mutants at the mansion had been supportive to you, especially since you were still their temporary teacher.

"Will you settle down!" You whine, gazing down at your large stomach. You cradled your belly in your hands, the baby kicking you from the inside out.

"Giving you hell, aren't they?" Hank asked, bringing you a cup of your favorite tea. You gave him a glare in response, your eyes having the power to stare deep into his soul.

"I want this baby out!" You shout, tapping circles on your stomach. "I want Charles to be here with me. I want to be held, I want someone to care for me the way he does. I want the baby to have their father with them when he or she is born. I just want Charles back."

"I-I can hold you if you'd like. Not romantically of course, but as a friend, to make you feel better." Hank suggested, very obviously taking a step out of his comfort zone. Your eyes now welled with tears, you nodded, adjusting on the couch so he could sit beside you.

Hank cautiously sat beside you, wrapping his arm around your swollen body. He gently placed his hand on the side of your large stomach, the other reaching over his stomach to rub your back. "Thank you." You mutter before bursting into tears, resting in your friend's arms. The baby was due in three days, but those three day's couldn't come any sooner.

--------------

One month ago you had a beautiful baby boy. He had eyes just like his father, the short hair on his head a darker brown color. Elliot Charles Xavier had been born into your life and he took over.

Charles Xavier landed back home, relief swelling through his body as he saw the mansion again. Alex, or Havoc, was training outside, his sweatpants hanging loosely off his body. "Professor!" He shouted, jogging to greet him at the door.

"Heard you found a lot of mutants, they all coming here?" He asked, walking backwards so Charles could continue his way inside.

"Yes, so enjoy the close attention you get now. They come next week." Charles sighed, kicking his shoes off by the door. If there was anything he wanted at that moment, it was to not be wearing shoes.

"Oh, and congrats on being a father." Alex grinned, playfully slapping him on the shoulder before jogging back outside. Charles froze in his tracks, a million thoughts racing through his mind. He had sensed something, a new presence, in the mansion.

"Y/N? Y/N!!" He yelled, dropping his bags and running up the flights of stairs. When you heard his voice, your heart leapt from your chest.

"Charles!" You shout, forgetting that Elliot was just in the other room with Raven. She really wanted to spend time with him, knowing you could use an hour or so alone.

Charles arms wrapped around you, his lips pressing firmly against yours. You lost yourselves in each other, just before he broke away.

"Alex congratulated me on being a father?" He asked, his eyebrows creasing with curiosity.

"When you left, um, I was pregnant." You reply bluntly, knowing if you decided to drag it out you would never get it out.

"I-I'm a father? We, um, we're parents? My god Y/N, I'm so incredibly sorry." Charles sighed, pulling you close in his arms.

"Sorry? You don't need to be sorry. He's the best thing that's ever happened to me. And you didn't know. I've had a lot of time to think about what to say and that's about it. There was no way you could've known and I've forgiven you, even though there's nothing to be mad about." You began to ramble, placing both hands on his cheeks. His blue eyes pierced into yours, a smile forming on his face and tears welled in his eyes.

"I wasn't here, I should have been here." He said, gently fitting his lips on yours. You fit together like pieces of a puzzle, happiness swelling even more through your bodies.

"I still love you. I named him after you, well, his middle name. Elliot Charles Xavier, he's beautiful Charles. Want to see him now?" You ask, taking his hand in yours. He nodded, following you up the remainder of steps.

Walking into the spare room, you begged for the door not to creak. If Elliot was asleep, waking him right now would be a terrible idea. But, he was already awake, staring at his aunt's shape since he couldn't see much at all as an infant. All infants are like that.

"Welcome home." Raven whispered, carefully handing you your son before giving Charles a hug. He didn't seem to notice, his eyes were glued to the baby boy in your arms. Raven left, leaving you with your husband.

"You know, last time we were alone, we made this." You joke, trying to lighten the mood. Charles smirked just a little, standing beside you. He put your hands over yours, holding the baby with you.

Slowly, you moved your hands away, giving Elliot to Charles. A couple tears rolled down his cheeks, Elliot looking at his fathers with his big, blue eyes. Charles smiled, unable to contain his happiness. You had your family back, that's all that mattered.
