Charles Xavier [X-Men]*

Short and not the best, but I really just felt like writing it. Hope you all enjoy!

Charles Xavier rested his head in his hands, his elbows set dangerously close to some needles of poison. "Ugh." He sighed, rubbing his temples. His hair looked messy as if he had just had a little too much fun with someone on the break room couch.

Pain pulsed through his brain, spots dancing in his eyes if he opened them. His powers fluctuated on and off, voices sometimes shouting in his head. "You okay, Xavier?" Hank asked, not even looking over from his test tubes. Charles loudly sighed again, jumping back in fear once he noticed the needles beside him.

"I technically don't have to ask," Charles began, taking a break to rub his temples, "but can I take off early?"

"Guess so, nothing is keeping you here." Hank said, once again not looking up from his work. Charles stood up from his chair, taking a few minutes to steady himself. Two weak steps were taken before the sound of glass shattering alerted Hank to actually look away from his work.

"Charles!" He exclaimed, sprinting over to his now unconscious friend. Charles eyes were half open, yet he showed no signs of consciousness. Now in panic mode, Hank desperately tried to pick him up from the floor and move him to the break room.

It took many minutes and a few failed attempts, but Hank managed to get Charles onto the couch while still in 'human form.' He called you, hoping you would know more of what to do. This couldn't have been the first time and since you dated Charles, maybe you knew something.

Frantically, you rushed over to the lab, knowing just what needed to be done. Everyone cleared the way for you as you ran down the hallways, Mystique led you to the room.

Charles lay unconcious on the couch, his foot twitching occasionally. His mind was being clouded by the screams of newborn mutants, their young age preventing them from broadcasting. Especially if they were telepaths as well.

"This happened once before. When twins or triplets are born, especially if one is a telepath, they tend to invade his brain. Yes distance is normally an issue, but one or even two infant telepaths can broadcast their screams far away." You explain, closing your eyes to focus.

Your mutation wasn't something most could see, it wasn't anything anyone could really see. You could take away pain from anyone you touch, but it caused you to feel the pain. Charles hated it when you did it with him, but it needed to be done.

Without hesitation, you pressed fingers to your boyfriend's temple. "ARGH!" You scream, pain overwhelmingly surging through your body. You screams were mixed with those of Charles, his brain returning to consciousness.

"No Y/N, STOP!" Charles screamed, ripping your hands from his head. You crumbled to the floor, tears pouring down your face. You breath, as well as Charles, was labored. Both of you sobbed, the pain now equally shared.

"I'm so sorry." You cried, taking his hand in yours. He agonizingly moved from the couch to lay beside you on the floor, Hank rushing over with water and ice for you two. The headache was like a muscle ache, ice helping cool the pain.

"No love, all I should say is thank you. I put you through that pain, I'm sorry." Charles sputtered, his breathing increasingly becoming more labored.

"I made a promise I had to break. For you I had to break it." You gasp out, gripping your hand in his even tighter. "I'm not using my mutation now."

"Good, darling. Please promise to never do that again." He whispered, the pain beginning to relieving subside.

"I promise. I promise baby, I promise."
