Y/N's POV

"I'm not letting you go and that's final y/n. It's too dangerous." My oldest brother Alec told me for what felt like the 100th time today.

"Alec, I'm a Shadowhunter. My entire life is dangerous." I reminded him. 

"I get that but you aren't going on this mission." He told me again before walking out of my room. I through a pillow at him but he closed the door causing the pillow to hit the door before falling to the floor. 

"I'm so done with them treating me like a child. I am just as good of a fighter than they are."  I thought to myself.

I quickly got dressed in some black pants and a black t-shirt. I grabbed my extra seraph blade from under my bed and my jacket before climbing out my bedroom window. My room was on the second floor so it wasn't that much of a drop. I then made my way to the warehouse that the demon was hiding out.

Izzy's POV 

"How did she take it?" I asked Alec, referring to y/n.

"How do you think she took it? She's pissed at me and as I left the room she threw a pillow at me." Alec explained to Jace and I. 

"I'm gonna go talk to her and try to calm her down. Some girl on girl talk might help." I said as I walked in the direction of my little sister's bedroom. 

When I got there I knocked on the door.

"Y/n, please open the door. It's Izzy. I just wanna talk." I said. There was no reply. I knocked again before opening the door. I looked around the room, not seeing y/n. I then spotted the open window and realized that y/n must have snuck out to go hunt the demon.

I ran back to where Alec and Jace were.

"She snuck out." I said

"You've got to me kidding me." Alec said through this teeth. I could that he was pissed but I knew he was more worried than angry. Y/n is our baby sister. Alec is the most protective because he is the oldest and he cares so much about all three of us, Y/n, Max, and I. If anything were to happen to any of us, Alec would be broken.

"She probably went to the warehouse where the demon is hiding out" Jace said. We all walk to the weapons room to get suited up before we head out.

Time Skip

We got to the warehouse but all we saw was the dead demon. We looked at each other and back at the dead demon on the ground.

"What the hell happened?" Jace said

"Seems like this little mission wasn't so dangerous after all." We heard from behind us. We all turned around to see y/n leaning up again a wall with her arms crossed over her chest.

"How did you do this all by yourself?" Alec asked

"Like I said, I'm a Shadowhunter. Plus I had some pretty good teachers" she said, gesturing to the three of us. "I know I shouldn't have snuck out by myself but I wanted to prove to you guys that I can do what you guys do." she said as she walked up to us.

"Y/N, you never need to prove yourself to us. We just don;t want you getting hurt" I told her. She ran up to us and hugged all of us. We had a group hug. 

"I love you guys" she said while hugging us.

"We love you too. Now lets get back to the Institute." Alec said.

"Or maybe, we could go get some pizza?" she tried to convince him to let us go get some food.

"Fine, but only if you promise not to sneak out again." He said. She put her hand over her heart before looking up at him,

"I promise" she told him.
