The way you and Sue met was unconventional; she thought you were a seemingly normal human, but you had a secret, a hidden gift, which was the ability to mind-control humans and the dead. But depending on the situation, how you used your powers
However, to avoid having enemies, you decided that you would not tell anyone about what you can do. Even though you couldn't deny that it was fun to watch people do what you felt like doing, Sue had fallen in love with you, though that wasn't the work of your powers.

You seemed to be happy together, or so you thought until someone told Sue the truth.
The misty morning air was seeping through the cracks in the bedroom window.
"I thought we had something real," she whispered, her voice barely audible amid the deafening silence. "I never used my powers on you," you confessed. "But my abilities are part of me. They represent both a gift and a curse."

Sue felt her heart break into a thousand pieces. She had fallen in love with a being whose powers transcended the bounds of normalcy, a being who could manipulate minds with a mere thought, who she believed had manipulated everything to be together.
As the sun set on their relationship, Sue took her things and left.
