The Doctor X reader. a/n this isn't very Halloween themed.

No one believed me when I told them that there is something unusual about our new teacher Mrs Phillips. I think she might be an alien of some kind,as I over heard her talking to someone on the computer and there voice sounded really gravelly,like a machine or something. Plus it's not just that,but students that have had detention with her have all come back,kind of like zombies. There all cold and emotionless,and have this little grey thing in there ear that flashed blue.

When I arrived at school today I noticed there is something different about the playground. The is a blue police public call box sat near to the drama block,I didn't really pay much attention to it as it is probably a prop. I would have gone and had closer look at the box,but it had started to rain so I decided to head into the school. On the way past Mrs Phillips room I slowed down as I didn't want to get into trouble with her,but something in the room caught my attention.

There came a faint buzzing sound and I could make out a green glow. I stepped into the door way and looked into the classroom,at first I saw no one but then I saw someone behind the desk. It's a youngish man
"You shouldn't be in here?" I said,the man stops his rummaging and looks over to me
"I should say the same thing to you" the man said,his clothing is unusual for someone of his age
"I mean it,Mrs Phillips is well..."I paused not sure how to finish that sentence.

"I know most people of your age think there teachers are from Saturn or something"the man said crossing the room to me,now that he is closer I can see he has floppy brown hair and green eyes,but his eyes look like they have seen lots of years. More than someone his age should have
"I don't think Phillips is from Saturn,but she certainly isn't human" I said without thinking
"What makes you say that?"the man asks,so I explained to him what I had over heard the other day
"...and the students come back the next day and there not the same"I finished.

"It couldn't be"the man said and he set off down the corridor,I followed after him
"Couldn't be what?" I asked
"Your teacher Mrs Phillips is human"the man began" but who she is working for are...no longer human "
"So are they like machines or something, because the person on the computer sounded like a machine" I said. The man stopped walking and looked down at me
"The voice you overheard your teacher talking with,is a Cyberman. They where once human like you but no longer" the man said.

"How can they be no longer human?" I asked
"Cybermen are robots with the mind of a human,but with no emotions or anything that makes you a human. They see that as a weakness" the man explained
"Are they here to take over the planet?" I asked
"No they want to make everyone like them" the man said before walking again
"You never told me who you are?" I asked
"You humans and your questions" the man said with a hint of a smile.

"You can call me The Doctor" the man said
"Doctor of what?" I asked
"Let's says time and space,so what do you like to be called?" The Doctor asked me
"Y/n" I said" If you are right about Phillips,is there anyway to help those kids she turned?"
"If the process isn't complete,I should be able to help them. If not..." the Doctor said trailing off. We headed down a corridor with the gym at the other end. The lights down here had never been bright,but for some reason the gym looks even brighter than normal.

"That's odd" I said going to go forward
"Y/n wait" The Doctor said stopping me" I want you to go back,if the Cybermen are after the children you should leave"
"I'm going to help the other children and I know my way around better than you,so I'm staying either way" I tell him
"Fine but do as I say" The Doctor said,we slowly approached the gym. One door is slightly open and we look inside. There is a big machine in there,and a long line of children waiting before it. They all had the ear piece in and looked lifeless,I watched as the first child went forward into the machine.

It was silent for a few seconds and then the whiring and buzzing of the machine began,followed by the chilling screams of the child inside. I watched in horror as what looked like,the brain was removed and placed inside a metal body. I realized what was going on,these Cybermen and Mrs Phillips where killing children but for what?
"There killing them"I said quietly " I'm never going to be able to unsee it"
"Y/n look at me" The Doctor said,I looked up at him"I promise you these children will not have died for nothing,I'm going to stop the Cybermen and you will help me"
