Mort Rainey X reader.

I decided to spend Halloween alone this year, normally I'm either with family or friends but this time I'm one my own. To round off the day I decided to watch some scary movies that I haven't seen before. The first four weren't to bad actually but when it came to the fifth one,well it got scarier than I guessed it would. By the time it is over I am well and truly scared out of my wit's. I jump at every little noise from outside and made sure to turn all the lights on.

"I need someone here with me" I think to myself, picking up my phone"Who would be awake still at this hour" I thought,I then it came to me. My gorgeous boyfriend Mort Rainey would no doubt be still awake. He probably will tease me about being scared but I don't care,I called his number and waited for him to pick up
"Y/n I didn't expect a call from you this late,what's up?" Mort asked
"Mort I need you come to my place,I stupidly watched a really scary film and I need someone here with me please " I said quickly.

"Alright sweetheart,I will be there shortly " Mort said
"You aren't going to tease me?" I asked
"Nah not this time,I wanted a excuse to be your hero and now I have one" Mort said. Ten minutes later Mort arrived at my home,I opened the door and pulled him inside" Easy there Y/n" Mort said" You really are jumpy aren't you" I pulled Mort into a hug
"It's my own fault for watching those movies without you" I said into his chest.

"Well don't you worry my darling,no one will get not whilst I'm here" Mort said running his hand threw my hair
"I love you Mort,so much"I said looking up at him
"I love you too Y/n,I think it's time we went to sleep" Mort said, pulling away from me and going to hear upstairs
"I don't think I will be able to sleep tonight " I admit following him
"I will be right with you,you will be fine" Mort said. We went into my room and after Mort made sure there was nothing scary there,we got ready for bed.

Once in bed I sunggled as close to Mort as possible with the light off
"Let me breath will you"Mort said
"I'm sorry,this is silly of me" I said letting go of him
"No it isn't sweetheart,we all get scared "Mort said kissing me on the forehead" Now let's get some sleep "I lay there staring at the ceiling waiting for sleep to come over me. For a time all is silent and then I heard it,the crunching of the gravel outside. I lay still listening,and then I heard it again.

"Mort are you asleep?"I asked
"Almost" came the reply
"I think someone is outside" I said quietly
"It's in your head"Mort said,but just as he said that a bin is knocked over outside. I look over to Mort scared
"That's not in my head this time" I said
"Don't panic,it could just be a cat" Mort said,then we hear the crunch of gravel again but louder this time and then there is a tap,tap,tap on the front door...
