Cabin Members and Lunch
~Jae's POV~
I gotta admit, I was kinda liking Vic. She seemed pretty cool, mostly because I was sick of all the kids from school, they're all so damn bitchy.
"What do you say we go explore?" I asked her.
"Sure!" she exclaimed.
We exited Cabin 93 and headed back in the direction of the lodge. I could tell what people were in each fandom, mostly because of their shirts, people they were hanging out with, or their conversations.
An announcement came over the loudspeaker that no one seemed to know the camp had. "Attention campers! Please be in the dining hall by 12 o'clock noon. Your cabin numbers will be on the tables. We will be announcing schedules and other things during lunch today. Thank you." it announced. It was 11:52 right now, we had eight minutes to get there.
"We should probably get headed to the dining hall then," Vic said, "Do you know how to get there?"
"Nope, but I've got a map so we should be good," I replied, pulling out the map Ms. Larson had given me.
"Alright, it looks like we go that way..." I said, pointing to my left, "Then head right a bit."
The dining hall was at the bottom of a small hill. We went inside and saw about twenty tables, each with a number on them, starting at 90. I noticed our table had the purple-haired girl from my registration with the CaptainSparklez tee, and also a girl with glasses and a Markiplier shirt. We walked over to the table and sat down.
"Hey," I greeted the others at the table, "I'm Jae."
"I'm Vic," Vic said after me.
"Halle," the purple-haired girl greeted.
"My name's Kat," the girl with the Markiplier shirt said.
Two more girls ran over to our table, laughing about something we'd probably never know about.
"I'm Bree," a girl with a pink t-shirt that read 'Good Vibes' said while sitting down, "That's Nix," Bree said, pointing to the kid next to her with short black hair and rimmed eyeliner.
"Alright campers, cabins 100 through 103 may go get lunch," the camp director said through a megaphone.
A girl with medium-length brown hair and a Fall Out Boy hoodie sat down at our table while our attention was averted to the camp director. Once a majority of the campers from cabins 100 through 103 were sat back down with their food the camp director announced cabins 90 through 93 to get their food. I got mac 'n' cheese and Vic got a chicken salad sandwich.
When we got back to our table there was a new girl sitting there with a beanie and a twenty one pilots shirt.
"Y'know they just called us up for lunch, right?" I asked her. Her eyes widened.
"Ah, shit!" she quietly exclaimed. I giggled at her expression.
"You can probably go when the camp director announces Cabin 94 to get lunch," I whispered across the table. She smiled at me.
"Thanks," she said.
"Anytime," I replied, smiling, "One thing though, what's your name?"
"It's Emma," she answered. The other girl must be Hailey then.

"Okay, now that you all have your food, it's time for announcements!" the camp director said. I'd learned that her name was Miss Hein, but she preferred to be called Riley, because it would "make us feel more at home."
"Every cabin should have gotten a schedule sheet that states when you should be where, and on what days," Riley announced through the megaphone, "You will all be sticking with the other cabin members during all activities, so you might want to get to know them. During some activities you will join another cabin and team up to do them. What activities could there be, you ask. Well there is hiking, arts and crafts, writing, editing, team games, and of course the daily campfire. During hiking you will follow a storyline depending on your fandom and possibly go somewhere related to your fandom. In arts and crafts you can make anything really, fan art included. You may NOT draw smut though," I heard a few kids laugh at that, "Writing is basically fanfiction, and we have supplied all of you with laptops for that and editing. If you're having writers block our website has some plots that are updated every week. Editing is also done on the laptops and is pretty self explanatory. Team games are just regular ol' summer camp games, and the daily campfire happens everyday around eight pm. At the daily campfire we'll sing songs and just talk about your day with other campers. There is also s'mores," a couple campers cheered at that.
"Your cabin counselors, wifi password, and chores are listed on the back of the schedule. Yes, there are chores, but they're really not as bad as you think. Today there will be no activities because it's your first day, but make sure to be out the door tomorrow by ten am. Other than that, I think everything's covered. Have a great day campers!" Riley ended the announcements.
I grinned, "Man, this sounds awesome."
Everyone smiled back at me.
