So when I was in third grade, Michael Jackson died, and I'm not really sure why but I fell in love with him. I got his thriller CD (I still have it too), watched all his music videos, and celebrated his birthday in Canada with my family at the wax museum. Intense.

I was a pretty innocent kid and I wanted to hear the song "Billie Jean". It's pretty well known but if you don't know it here's the video.

The song is about Michael Jackson fathering a child and denying it. Of course when I was nine, I didn't understand that. I wanted to see the music video and my dad was like "I want to see it first to make sure it's appropriate." I was outraged! Of course it was! It did end up being, as seen up above, but... yeah. Things aren't always as they seem, kids.

My favorite songs are "Who is it" and "You are not alone". I went over to my friend ZJM__xx 's birthday party when I was little and we had a singing contest, and I sang the latter song. However I didn't ever see the video for that one because MJ and his then wife were naked in it; and even then I understood that that was inappropriate for a kid to see.
