Today's cat of the day is..
Birchfall!
More of a side character, Birchfall is the father of Dovewing and Ivypool.
Birchkit was born to Ferncloud and Dustpelt, with his sisters Hollykit and Larchkit.
They both died of starvation because of the monsters that were tearing through ThunderClan territory.
Birchkit, as the only remaining kit in his litter, goes on the Great Journey. When they reach it and it was time for ThunderClan to go to their new home, he complains he wants to be with Applekit, Toadkit, and Marshkit because there wasn't any kits in ThunderClan for him to play with. (Aww so sad)
He was the first kit to be made into an apprentice in the lake territories.
He was also the first one to see Firestar in a fox trap with Brambleclaw and Hawkfrost. He ran to camp for help, and when he came back, Hawkfrost was dead and Firestar had lost one of his lives.
By The Sight, Birchfall was a warrior.
Later, there was a skirmish at the ShadowClan border. Birchfall and Berrynose were seen by Firestar and his patrol fighting ShadowClan cats. He is later seen on apprentice duties.
When they went to ShadowClan to look for Tawnypelt to go to help the Tribe of Rushing Water, he sees his former friend, Toadkit; Toadfoot now.
By the end of Long Shadows, Whitewing was pregnant with Birchfall circling her proudly.
He was chosen to go on the journey to find Sol. On the way back, he found some sheep's wool and took it back to ThunderClan to give to Whitewing and his kits.
As Ivypaw and Dovepaw grew, he was a very good and proud father.
Later, he helps Icewing out of a hole; a collapsed tunnel.
Later, he is trained in the dark forest, and tells Ivypool that he saw her there.
One dark forest night, they are training when Ivypool exclaims she smelled blood and they all stopped. Hawkfrost said that Clan cats were soft, and Birchfall denies the statement.
At the great battle between the dark forest and the Clans, he fought for the Clans.
