The warrior of the day today is..
Sandgorse!
The father of Tallstar taught his son a good lesson- even when he wasn't around.
Sandgorse was very fond of his little kit from the day he was born. He proudly announced that Tallkit's long tail would be very useful when he tunnels.
When he believed Tallkit was old enough, he took him to the same place he learned how to tunnel. Sandgorse continues to train Tallkit by making him move rocks. He says that it's never too early to start training to be a tunneler.
But when Heatherstar makes Tallpaw a moor-runner mentor, Sandgorse is furious, saying that his lineage has been tunneling for ages.
Tallpaw later asks Sandgorse if he should ask Heatherstar to give him a tunneler mentor. Sandgorse asks if that's what he really wants, and Tallpaw hesitates. Sandgorse repeats himself angrily, and Tallpaw replied that it's not.
Sandgorse is now more distant from his son.
Later Sandgorse invites Tallpaw to go down into the tunnels. They were making a tunnel to the gorge. Tallpaw acts excited and they bond as they walk down. As they start digging again, they hear a creak and water explodes, flooding the tunnels. All the cats down there flee upwards, and after they get to the surface, Sandgorse seems exited about the run. As Sandgorse suggests that the apprentice get cleaned up, Tallpaw snaps, saying that even though Sandgorse enjoys tunneling doesn't mean Tallpaw enjoys it as well. Tallpaw told Heatherstar about the flooding.
Later that day, Heatherstar told the tunnelers to stop working on the tunnels.
Sandgorse yells at Tallpaw, saying its his fault that the project is abandoned.

After that, Sandgorse is very angry and snaps at Tallpaw many times.
Sparrow, Algernon, and the other rouges come for their seasonal visit, and Sparrow is very interested in the tunnels and asks if he can go down and see it.
While Tallpaw is on a hunting patrol that same day, he feels the ground tremble beneath him and he sees Sparrow shoot up from a rabbit hole. Tallpaw asks where Sandgorse is, and Sparrow says that he is lucky he got out. Plumclaw said the whole tunnel collapsed, and that Sandgorse is with StarClan now.
