First off- what do you think; who's worse, Rainflower or Palebird?

And as I was thinking about that, I realized that a lot of leaders had daddy or mommy problems, or just family in general. I'm going to go through the list of leaders from the start of Into the Wild.

Spoiler alert.

Bluestar
Let's do ThunderClan first. So Bluestar obvi had some problems. She saw her mother get slain by a medicine cat in front of her very eyes.

I had to look up Stormtail, but he was a good father and apparently he died from starvation before Bluestar got her leader's name but after Snowfur's death.
Aaaand not to mention Snowfur at all bc you probs already know about her...

Firestar
Other than having his ancestors kittypets, he's pretty normal. Moving on.

Bramblestar
Although his story isn't as sad as others, he had to grow up in the shadow of the infamous Tigerstar. Firestar didn't trust him at first. I don't think anybody trusted any kin of Tigerstar's. Tawnypelt crumbled under the pressure, and went to ShadowClan.
... Did he see his father's death..? He was at the battle of BloodClan, right?

Tigerstar
Daddy issues? Check. His father became a kittypet, and chain reaction made him evil. I don't think I need to elaborate on that...

Brokenstar
Yup. Family issues. He was always teased about his unknown mother when he was a kit, and cmon. "Broken-" is a pretty harsh prefix. It's up there with "Maggot-" and "Lost-". He never knew until his last moments living that Yellowfang, the, in his mind, insignificant medicine cat was his mother.

Nightstar
Nothing's known about his parents. Moving on.

Blackstar
In my opinion, Blackstar is a great leader. After the string of crAAZy leaders (Short-lived Raggedstar, Dictator Brokenstar, Sickly and short-lived Nightstar, Dictator #2 Tigerstar..) He was a good, strong leader to give ShadowClan a sense of balance and peace. Nothing much is known about his parents. Hollyflower is his mother, but no one knows what happened to her.

Rowanstar
Nothing known. Moving on.

Crookedstar
Mmhm. Rainflower. Best mother award 4 sure...

No comment.

Leopardstar
Normal parents. WOAHHHH- aaand moving on.

Mistystar
Her mother's in ThunderClan, and she never knew her father well.

Isn't that suuuu cute...
Anyway, parent problems, although not so severe, check.

Tallstar

Parent problems? CHECKITY CHECK.
Mother rejection?

Check!
Parent died when kit was at a young age?

Check!
With parent problems, Tallstar had the hardships of Crookedstar and Bluestar. Yet he outlived both, and was a strong leader to be remembered.

Onestar
Nothing much is known. I mean, his aunts and uncles all died as kits...

So yeah.
Thirteen leaders, seven of them had parent problems. That's 53.84% of leaders. Your welcome.

Anyway, who's worse? Palebird or Rainflower?
