Waiting| MYG x OC

*Fantasy Scenario*

An entanglement of his mind gestures him in a state of unrest.

He leaps from his bed, hardwood creaking beneath his heavy footing, and he strides into the room where the beginning of his confusion inhabits. A sliver of moonlight shines through the window, spotlighting the piece as if it were dressing for him.

Gradually, he walks toward it, gulping as the keys glimmer under the paleness of the dimly lit room. He brushes his fingers across the keys, careful not to make a sound.

Taking a seat before it, a tug of war with his thoughts battle, as he makes it fist in an attempt to not surrender to action that would lead to a consequence he didn't think he was ready to face.

A replay of a recent argument was like a movie reel, running a never-ending matinee in his mind. A pang of guilt settles with him, knowing he shouldn't have left it that way.

Glancing as his hands, he stretches his fingers out and positions them on the keys. Exhaling, he plays, fingers stroking each note, creating a perfect harmony that bellows within the walls of the house. He closes his eyes and clenches his jaw, his body growing numb when his surroundings change, but the music wouldn't allow him to deter from the tune until he plays the very last note. Once he concludes his instrumental song, he peers up to see a dark, seething gaze burning a hole into his own.

"What are you doing here?" She grumbles.

Yoongi sat up from the piano and walked over to the voice addressing him.

"I could ask you the same. Were you waiting for me?" He smirked.

She crosses her arms and huffs. "No."

"Liar." He accused.

His stature towers over her, their eyes communicating silently. Yoongi glance behind him. "It's night here too, I see."

"Too? What do you mean?" She wondered.

"The times of my visit are typically the opposite. Your day is usually my night in reverse. It should be daytime here."

Her eyes wander his, confusion shouting from her stare. "What does that mean, Min?"

Intrigued on the way she addressed him, Yoongi circled his arms around her waist. "Do you really want an answer to that, or would you rather kiss me?"

The peppermint heat her from her breathy gasp tickles his nostrils, causing his nose to twitch. Her hand rests on his chest.

"Bold of you to assume such things." She breathes.

Yoongi leaned in closer to her, closing his eyes and taking in the fragrant aura swirling against his face. Of all the phenomena he's experienced in his first contact of the piano, she seemed like the only thing that made sense.

"Yoongi..."

"I'm sorry about earlier, Dylan. I shouldn't have said those things to you. I don't know why this is happening, and I shouldn't have taken it out on you." Yoongi inched his lips closer to hers. "Forgive me. I can't do this without you."

Fighting him at first, Dylan's breath consumed entirely in Yoongi's kiss once she gave in. She uncrossed her arms to filter her fingers in his ebony tresses.

"Take me upstairs." She whispers against his lips.

"We can't." Yoongi eases away from her lips. "You know what happens when we lose track of time. I have to be at the record store earlier tomorrow." His eyes widened as he glances out of the window, noticing dawn beginning to break.

"Impossible." He uttered.

"What?" Dylan's eyes wandered his until she turned behind her and saw it herself. She turned back to Yoongi, "but you said..."

Yoongi sighs. "I can't get a hold on this. I don't even know why this is happening."

"Yoongi," Dylan called. "Show me."

"No," Yoongi answered quickly without a second thought. "I can't allow you to cross."

Tiny creases in Dylan's forehead created a frenzy in his heart. This was a desire that he wanted to fulfill with her. Uncertainty shared with curiosity was eating away at him, wondering what would happen if their worlds were to collide.

"What's the worse that could happen?" Dylan asked.

"I don't want to find out. I have to go." Yoongi was about to walk away, but Dylan reaches for his hand.

His body met hers along with the kiss that stroked his soft lips. "I forgive you. Don't stay away too long." She whispered while easing away.

"I won't," Yoongi spoke, but the words brought fear in him, knowing that long would be just that and more.

He found himself back at the piano. Closing his eyes, his fingers stroked the tune that took him through the ravels of time. It wasn't long before he found himself back in his own space, the moonlight still shining through his home.

Yoongi stared in wonder when a thought occurred to him, piecing together the mystery of his arrival versus his departure.

"I'm running out of time." He whispered.
