So Coley has at least five of these fanfiction trope videos, and since I enjoy watching  them, I hope you enjoy watching the video and giving a little love to her channel.

Okay, so some of these I've heard of some of these, but not all of them. The first squeak I've actually done, but it wasn't in a fan fiction. The couple lived in this very small town and were childhood friends, but the problem was that their town was very manipulative and corrupt, so they enjoyed basically predetermining the kids' lives. And for the two main characters, the girls' parents had been pressuring them to date, so she and her friend pretty much had this conversation:

"Let's date to get them off our back because I see you as a brother and you're not ready to date yet. We break up, and then they'll finally realize we're not compatible."

But then the plan doesn't work because they break up and everybody is like, "What do you mean you broke up? Get back together! You're perfect and you don't know it yet!"

And this leads to a chain reaction that causes the two friends to become mortal enemies for the next twenty years.

Yes, they do eventually wind up together, but it takes a while of emotional trauma to work through. But I thought it made a very interesting part of the villain/anti-hero's origin story.
