Arielle lost her aunt and uncle in a car accident almost 4 months ago. Her mother got custody of her three cousins, Jacob, Elena, and Jeremy. She quickly became friends with Matt, forming a tight bond between the two. After new bodies left drained of blood, as well as herself getting attacked and almost killed and new mysterious people arrive to Mystic Falls, Arielle is more confused on everything going on, and who was going to die next.

Jacob Gilbert knew the dangers of the small town he grew up in. He kept it all a secret, from his family, his friends, he had good reason too. So after the Salvatore Brothers return to Mystic Falls and more people end up getting attacked and killed, Jacob decides to call in help from his uncle, though still continues to lie to everyone around him, even his own twin sister. So when she finds out about the Supernatural life, he lies again, saying he had just found out too. Now, he is trying to stop the Salvatore brothers, and his sister, from the inside. He and his sister decide not to out the brothers to the Council, but they had different reasons on why they weren't outing them, and Jacob's would possibly destroy his bond with his siblings and his cousin.
