You sit up and looked around the room you're in. 

Everything is metallic, white, and sterile. There's something familiar about your surroundings, but you can't figure out what. It's like you're in a hospital, but it's more like a doctor's office. The room was private and a bit small. Hospital rooms had attached bathrooms for the one to four people that were in the same room. Private rooms were usually rare and luxurious, not like this room.

Nothing about it is making you nervous though. It feels like it could easily be your room, if it wasn't so obviously a medical room of some sort.

You head throbs, and you feel a little dizzy. There's a steady beat that's gotten a little faster since you sat up. There's an IV in the top of your hand, and you have aches and pains all through your body. Had you undergone a surgery? Maybe you'd been a car crash or something. Nothing was in a cast, and you weren't restrained to the bed. There's bandages wrapped around your head, and you could feel them in other places on your body. The soreness was strangely familiar, but you couldn't recall being hurt in this way before.

You try to think back to what had happened and true concern starts welling up inside you. The monitors around you start beeping faster. The faster beeps made something else make a noise, but you weren't paying any attention to it.

You couldn't remember anything.
