Chapter 8: Breaking Out
I apologize for this chapter being short, but I'm really stuck with this story right now. =/ I need more ideas, and until I get something good, it's going to be hard for me to write a whole bunch for it. So if you have one, feel free to let me know! I'm open for some! =D
But anyways... I hope you like it! =)

Lex threw himself into the door for what seemed to be the billionth time. When the door didn’t budge, he sighed angrily, sliding onto the floor. He put his back against it, giving him support as he caught his breath. Lex rubbed his shoulder, sore from being bashed into the rather strong door.
“So I think its official,” he breathed. “We are not getting out that way. Do either of you have a better idea?”
Michele and Juliet sat against the other wall, and glanced at each other. “No idea,” Juliet sighed. “All we can do is wait for them to open it up.”
Suddenly, Michele jumped to her feet. “What happened to that bobby pin that you had earlier?” she asked Lex.
He gave her a confused look. What was she trying to get at? Now was not the time to worry about what her hair looked like. “It’s in my pocket, why?” he answered, unsurely.
“Let me see it!” Michele requested.
Lex reached into his pocket and tossed her the bobby pin. “All I can say is that now is not the time to be worried about what you look like, Chele.”
Michele caught it, and then gave him the look. “Do you honestly think I care about how I look right now? I know I look like Bellatrix Lestrange, and I honestly don’t care. I have a better plan for this lovely little pin.”
Michele crossed the room to the door. After pushing Lex out of the way, Michele stared at the lock’s keyhole for a moment before she shoved the bobby pin into it. Michele carefully shifted the small metal band, trying to get it to open the door. After a few moments of turning, and concentration, Michele heard the sound she was looking for: a click. She quickly removed the bobby pin from the door, and tested the door knob. When it turned, Michele opened the door, seeing the outside of the room for the first time.
“Where did you learn how to do that?” Lex asked, amazed by his girlfriend’s lock-picking ability.
“It’s a long story,” she muttered, and then started to head towards the outside world.
Lex stood and moved in front of her. “You’re not going out there first. These guys are nuts.”
Michele turned and saw Juliet standing behind her before turning back to Lex. “What do you want us to do?”
Lex thought about it for a second. He surely didn’t want them getting in the way, or getting injured. “There has to be a back way out. I want to get you two back outside to the car. I have to get John and Wayne out, wherever they may be.” He gestured to them to stay there. “Stay here until I get back. I’m going to find a way out.”
Michele and Juliet backed into the room as Lex ducked into the hallway. Lex carefully and quietly crept along the wall towards where Billy Bob Joe’s lovely henchman had drug him from. He poked his head out into the room, hoping he wouldn’t be spotted. Lex glanced around and saw no one. The coast was clear.
Lex turned on his heel and went to go back down the hallway towards the girl, but was stopped by the same man who placed him in the room. The two stared at each for a moment before the man spoke.
“How the hell did you get out?” he growled.
Lex winked. “It’s a secret.”
The man went to punch him, and Lex dodged it by only a few inches before rebounding and hitting him in the face. However, the guy just stood there, as if nothing happened. Lex’s eyes grew wide; he didn’t expect that one. Most of the time when he punched a guy, that was the end of it, but this guy just stood there like he hadn’t even felt it. The man snatched Lex up by his collar, lifting him feet off the ground. As a reflex, Lex drew his gun and shot him in the foot. Lex hit the floor with a thud, as the muscleman dropped him to grab his bleeding foot.
Lex scurried down the hallway, back to the room the girls were at. Once there, he beckoned for them to follow him, and the three rushed back down the hall. Lex handed Michele the car keys, as they rounded the corner with the muscleman.
“Right outside that door is the car,” he directed. “Go sit there. I’m going to find them. If we’re not back in an hour, go home.”
Michele barely nodded, but she took in every word he said. She and Juliet left the room like Lex instructed them. Lex made sure they shut the door tightly behind him before he put his mind back on his next task. He had to find Wayne and John.
If they were still alive…
