Madison told her mother she had a girl problem, which supposedly forced her to return home. The rest of the evening was devoted to talking about Shawn's experience at the Ellen Show. A few hours that seemed like years to Madison, to talk about the talented Shawn.

 After this long evening, all the teenagers of the house were well established in their rooms and did their homework. Madison heard someone knocking at her door. 

 - I'm not here!

 Shawn entered into his half-sister's room without her permission.

- What? Said the teenager with a furious tone. 

 - I just wanted to see if you were ok. 

 - Why would I not be fine? 

 -You have a lot of reason not to be, in fact Madison.

 - I do not care Shawn! Can you leave me alone now? 

 - What is this attitude? You know you do not need to put a mask in front of me, I know who you are. 

 - I know that what is happening to us is bad, very bad. I trusted you but now we have to think of our parents first. So, thank you for going away now. 

 - If that's what you want, I'll leave you alone.

 - Yes, that's what I want, lied the girl.

 When Shawn left Madison's room, she shed a few tears. She loved Shawn a lot but she did not want to hurt her mother even though she did not like her much. She did not want to develop feelings for her half-brother and had to ignore him. 

 ... 

The next few weeks were strange and hard. Madison tried her best not to turn to Shawn when her anxiety took over. A lot of people were staring at her as she walked through the school's hallways. She suspected that something very bad was going to be uncovered because of the anonymous who prevented her from living her day to the fullest. The girl missed Shawn, a lot. She was surprised that Lauren did not show up to help her, but she figured that Shawn was probably a more important friend to her and she fully understood.  

Everything was becoming normal now. Shawn and Madison didn't talk a lot but had a normal step-sister & step-brother relationship. Madison didn't have any friends now but it was normal to her. She was used to being alone and it didn't scare her as much as it used to. But one day when she was at school at the lunch break her heart stopped. Something terrible happened.
