|#4. Fun Banters|

Arya teases Vineet as he overhears his conversation. He runs out of the room to inform something to his parents. Vineet is astonished, he doesn't want Arya to say anything about Ruhana to their parents. He is unsure if Ruhana loves him. He has invited her personally because she's a good friend to him and Aditi. He may have feelings for her, but he's unsure about her.

Vineet moves out of his room and finds his mother approaching him. He knows, Arya must have blurted the truth as he could see his expressions. He's enjoying seeing him worried. Puja looks at her son.

"Vineet, ye main kya sun rahi hoon?" Puja asks, boring her eyes into his son's.

"Kya hua, Maa? Dekho aap Arya ki baaton pe mat jao. Aapko pata hai na, ye har baat ko badha chadha ke bolta hain." Vineet makes a face, he's scared of his parents' reaction.

"Vo thik keh raha hai. Kal tujhe kisi party mein jana hain?" Puja asks.

"Huh! Haan! Ek party hai, kuch delegates ke sath." Vineet replies, stuttering a little.

"Aur bhaiya ne kisi dost ko bhi bulaya hai." Arya says it cheekily.

"Kaun hai wo?" Puja dodges her gaze between the boys.

"Ma, main aapko sahi waqt pe bataunga. Arya toh pata nahi kya kya bolta rehta hai. Aapko rest karna chahiye." Vineet says, trying to divert his mom's attention.

"Han, Maa. Bhai toh waise hi aapka kaam easy kar denge, aapke liye bahu dhundh ke." Arya says it and giggles.

Puja rolls her eyes at her sons while Vineet turns his gaze away. His brother is running faster than expected. Here, he doesn't even know if the girl likes him back or has any feelings for him. And here, Arya is telling their mom that he (Vineet) has found a girl for himself. Vineet glares at his brother while he laughs, enjoying the situation that he has put Vineet in.

Puja shakes her head and instructs the boys to get a good night's sleep, as they have a lot of work the next day and it's going to be a long day. The boys agree and return to their respective rooms. The two boys settle in their rooms, and after assuring herself, she retires to her room.

A new day is always a new beginning. Kashyap House is quite chaotic. Ruhana is awake, while Aisha is still sleeping. She shakes her head and moves to freshen up. She takes a shower and gets dressed for the day. She comes into the room and finds that her sister is still sleeping. She sits by her side and begins to wake her up.

"Aishu, utho, 8 baj gaye. College nahi jana tujhe?" She asks.

"Uh, Di, sone do naa, please." Aisha says sleepily:

"Aishu, dekh, abhi Mumma aa ke gussa karengi. Phir mujhe mat kehna." Ruhana shrugs her shoulders.

"Mumma! Noo!" Aisha sits up on the bed.

"Haha! Scared? Really! Mumma ke naam se hi darr gayi! Ab aisa hi karna padega maybe!" Ruhana says it teasingly.

"Huh! Aap mumma ki tarah baat nai karo, Didu." Aisha makes a face.

"Aww, acha ab chalo, ready ho jao. Main office jaate jaate tujhe college drop kar dungi." Ruhana suggests it, and Aisha agrees.

Aisha runs into her room to freshen up and get dressed for the day. Ruhana arranges her room, picks up her stuff, and walks out of her room. She walks into the kitchen and prepares coffee for herself and Aisha and tea for her parents. Their mom is preparing sandwiches, and she asks her to lay the table. She obliges and also calls for her dad. All of them have their breakfast, and Ruhana informs her parents that she might be late in coming back home as she has a party to attend.

"Lekin mere liye pastries laana mat bhulna! Aap toh party mein dinner karke aaogi." Aisha glares at her sister.

"Pastries! Aur kuch, madame?" Ruhana asks, bowing her head.

"No! Only pastries! Chocolate and pineapple, dono leke aana." Aisha says it in an ordered tone.

Ruhana nods her head positively, and they share a bit of banter before the sisters leave for their respective workplaces. As they leave, Aisha's mom looks at her husband and says something that leaves the old guy astonished and thoughtful.

To be continued.
