I look at my sons as they work on their things. It has been a few months since we moved to our new house and they're already adding the extra. They already got a gazebo and a picnic table added and now they're gardening and planting and everything.
Asher Channe POV: Age - 17
I smile as we finish planting one row of flowers at last.
DJ-Is looking good.
-Is starting to look good.
DJ-Mom is looking and I think she likes it.
-When we're done she will love it.
DJ-When we're done we can go out and enjoy ourselves more.
-Yeah.
DJ-And you can see that lady cashier again.
I feel how my entire body heats up at the mention of her.
-Not really. I don't know what you're talking about. I like shopping. Weird but true.
DJ-I know everything but I can keep it a secret.
I look at him a minute before I stand and go inside the house. I have to refresh myself.
Drake Jayr POV - 17
I clean up the garden by myself before I catch Ash on his bedroom. I pushed a button on his patience but I still feel his need to talk. Our connection is strong that goes both ways, sometimes a blessing others a curse. I take a deep breath before I knock on his open door.
AC-Hey.
-Are you alright?
AC-Of course I am. You didn't offend me or anything.
-You came in so suddenly. So, what are you doing?
AC-Come on. You have to come with me as cover up.
-Channe.
He pulls me in and locks the door before he comes and sits us together.
AC-I really want to see her.
-About that.
AC-I'll tell you everything, mostly, as long as you keep it secret.
-Worth the sacrifice.
AC-I want to speak with her, know her and she might fall for me.
-You want to conquer her.
AC-Conquer sounds like being her owner. We have to be equal. I don't know how to start.
-Think and give me a thought.
AC-Hmm.
He paces the room and discards a few thoughts before he stops and comes back to sit.
AC-Let's go shopping. I'm starting as a shadow. Flowers, cards and chocolates for my crush.
-A secret admirer. That's really your aim?
AC-Is more romantic that way and more exciting.
-I don't see the exciting anywhere. But you do it however you want.
AC-You're coming with me.
-Obviously. I want to see how can you do it. I'll shower first.
AC-Me too.
I get out to my room and get ready.

Asher Channe POV
After about two hours we get to the store and so we start shopping. We get the normal groceries, some clothes, dresses for mom amongst other things we want until we find what I really want. The cards, chocolates and flowers and so I look.
-This looks good to start.
DJ-Simple enough.
I growl at him making him distract himself with something else. We keep going through the store until I see her arrive and I identify wich is her car.
-Drake, there she is. Look.
DJ-I saw her already. Geez, you're excited.
-Eager but still. Let's go pay, I still got to find out her name.
He rolls his eyes but still we get in line to pay. I look at her as we wait our turn.
Her red hair is tied in a high spiky ponytail except for two strands that fall at each side marking her face like a beautiful portrait. Her light skin contrast her hair well and behind her glasses, the blue eyes contrast with her unique beauty. She's a beautiful mix of traits and colors.
Equinox Solstice POV - Age - 19
I rub my left shoulder and upper arm before I start getting the next customer on the line. I only get work done quickly because I work hard and I like working as much. Not because the boy I like is waiting two customers away. Before I was never interested in love but now, he's handsome and new in town. Is been a few months since they arrived but still, I can't stop thinking about him or fantasizing with him. Nox, focus on your work. Scan the item, bag it, rotate, repeat. Scan, bag and rotate, scan, bag and rotate. Keeo going until the end.
-A, wow, hundred and seven dollars is your total.
?-I got discount.
-Go ahead.
I look slightly away trying to cover a yawn but I think they noticed it.
-I'm sorry. Excuse me.
?-No worries. Exact.
-Your receipt. Have a great day.
?-Thank you.
He goes away with his groceries and the next customer comes. The next one is my crush. Usually, things here are boring and the customers were a mix of a blur and memorable customers. Nothing too crazy happens except for the summer when all teenagers party and make a mess everywhere they go. I went once and I'm not eager to go again. I like calm parties like birthdays, weddings or holidays. Strong things are better by myself.
I groan when I find myself imagining all of my things, doing them with him. Him standing closer as my next customer gets me nervous and excited. He's of course my favorite customer. I could speak with him, know him better but he's always with who I think is his brother. They couldn't look more alike than what they already do. I laugh as I think about it and relax.
I'm nervous again when is his turn and I dispatch him quickly. He seems distracted, anxious and eager to leave as well. They both go away quickly speaking some language that I can't understand. I only know that is not English, French, Italian, Spanish or Portuguese because I studied and learned them through high school. Now I'm learning Greek, Latin and Arabic. I got more to learn but eventually.

The hours pass slowly and still but finally I can go home as my shift has ended. These were the longest five hours I can remember and boring but busy. I clock out, get my things and go to my car. I stop when I see a bunch of flowers and a card in my car. I hesitate slightly before I grab the card. I look around before I open it and read it.
-Dear crush,
Do you think about me as much as I think about you?
I sure hope so.

I close the card and hold it to my heart.
-Oh my god.
I open the car and get in after getting the flowers and the card as well. I put my favorite music out loud and so I sing and dance as I drive home. My roommate is watching TV as I arrive and I grab her to stand.
?-You seem happy.
-I got a secret admirer. He left the card and the flowers in my car.
?-I am so happy for you. You got to have some love.
-I was considering it but now I know for sure that I want it. I really hope is what I want.
?-What do you mean?
We sit and I compose myself.
-I might be in love with somebody, the new guys in town.
?-Those two? You got good taste.
-I hope the one I like is the secret admirer.
?-Wow. These admirer is unique and willing. What are you going to ask him for?
-Nothing. I might inform him about me and let him do as he wants. I was afraid when I saw that in my car but after reading it I, even now, I'm excited to live this and what the future holds.
?-Don't forget your present. School and work.
-I won't forget. Now then, let's eat and keep going.
She nods and we get to the kitchen.

A year later/ Minus a day
Asher Channe POV - 18
I sigh as I look at myself in the mirror. I read the last note I exchanged with my crush. The first one she loved the pace I was going to do. Being her secret admirer and exchange cards on key points at certain times mutually. Now the last one we are finally going to meet in person as we agreed to go on a date tomorrow. Is our one year anniversary as secret crush and tomorrow we are confirming our identities as celebration. I am faithful that we will start our relationship after tomorrow. I just have to manage to get asleep. Count your sheeps and get to bed.
Equinox Solstice POV - 20
I wake up suddenly. My date is today and I overslept. Sunday, my free day from everything. He's so very good and kind to me and today I can finally know if my secret admirer is, in fact, my crush. I suspect yes but still, we better make sure. I get ready myself and get my bag ready as well. Along with my other talks we agreed that we're going to a lake in a cave, swim out by the underwater tunnels and out to the beach. Sounds alright but somehow I think is going to be good.
After I'm done getting ready, not too long, I stretch slightly my arms and look at my phone. My heart beats faster when I see he send me a text. He's here. I take a moment to calm down my excitement before I get out to meet him.
Asher Channe POV - 18
I greet her midway grabbing her bags for her.
-Morning. Are you ready for today?
Equinox Solstice-I am excited about it.
-I promise it will be nearly perfect but, after the date officially starts.
She gives me a look as I save it so I sigh.
-The lake in the cave is the date.
ES-We are not there so it hasn't started yet.
-Exactly. Now get in.
I hold the door for her and she gets in, I get in to drive.
-On our way.
ES-Is not rude but curiosity. What about your brother?
-He's sort of our waiter, driver at the moment. Not a third wheel.
She adjusts to sit looking at him. She's curious, I'm jealous and they're speaking. So I listen.
ES-So, any warnings about this date with your brother?
DJ-Hmm. Warnings? I don't think you need any protection or worry about anything.
ES-How so?
DJ-He's the most innocent sheep you can get.
She looks at me before she laughs softly.
ES-Never expected that metaphor.
DJ-That's with you and me and our mom.
ES-How about you? What are you up to?
DJ-Do you have any friends I could date?
ES-Just one true friend. She might like you but you have to be patient. She's waiting to do herself before she adds a lover.
DJ-Hard to get. I'm not very patient. I'm confident too.
ES-She likes Ash but she knows he's mine so.................
DJ-So I'm the spare.
ES-No! Still, I think you and her would make a great match. I'll be your messenger for her.
They keep talking about the friend until we get over the cave and finally we are left alone.

ES-So, how is this going down?
-We're swimming for the first part. Is a long way but it gets several spaces where we can go up and get a breath so is possible.
ES-I like this kind of stuff and adventure but I feel nervous right now.
I look at her shy and tempting fate I pull her to me and dare to hold her face in my hands while I kiss her. Deep and gentle. Is impressive how much I can feel with just one kiss. The softness of her lips, her eager response, our hearts beating fast and hard. Her arms and legs wrapped around my neck and waist respectively and suddenly she just pulls away.
We stay like that for a moment just breathing and calming down.
ES-Amazing.
-But?
ES-You have to ask first. Ask me.
She smiles knowingly and waiting patiently until it finally clicks in my head.
-Oh. That. Ok.
She smiles wider and embarrassed I ask looking straight to her eyes.
-Do you want to be my girlfriend?
ES-Of course I do. Now then.
She holds a finger on my lips before getting way too close and backing away again as she laughs.
ES-For kissing and then asking you got to wait until we're back home for the next kiss.
-Hope you change your mind.
ES-Well, can you put me down now? I am way shorter than you.
-Oh.
I put her down confused as I didn't even realized that she was in my arms or when had I lifted her from the ground. Once separated we get into the water and we start swimming.
