Navin POV: Age - 18
I arrive alone to the hospital with my wife and daughter after speaking with the sheriff and the doctor and as I do I find them both on the same room but separate beds. I grab my daughter and I see that she's awake. Awake but silent and just being there. I smile and hold her quietly until she awakes.
-Hey, look, mommy's waking up. Tessa?
Tessa-Navin? How's Rosaly?
-She's fine and good. I got her right here. Unharmed.
Tessa-Thank the gods for that. Am I bad or worse?
-You're good. In the sense that it could have been worse. Do you remember what happened?
Tessa-I guess. I think is twisted because I could only think of you and protecting our daughter.
-I know. I'm glad you're both alright.
Tessa-I'm not that alright. Not with that ankle broken and the wrist and all these scrapes and bruises all over me.
-You look beautiful in all and every way you are. In every situation.
Tessa-When can I go home?
-Tomorrow morning.
She groans and I laugh.
-Easy. I'm staying here with you. And our daughter.
Tessa-Hey, can you hold my hand?
-But of course I can. I can do wathever you want. Just ask.
She smiles as I hold her hand and kiss her knuckles.
-Sleep. I'll be here all the time.
She smiles and holding tight I feel how her grip loosens as she falls asleep and eventually, I move on to the couch and holding my daughter safely on top of me I get to sleep as well.
A few days later, the doctor finally confirmed and comes to the conclusion that both my wife and daughter are alright, especially my wife who was the hurt one. I make a treat for them and I take them to the park that following Sunday. She enjoys herself to the fullest.
Tessa-Oh Navin, this feels good. Thank you babe.
She grabs my arm and Rosaly in my arms before we keep walking.
-A little bit before we go home to rest.
Tessa-The best little bit.
We share a soft kiss before we keep going and enjoy the rest of our day.
Aviv POV: Age - 25
I look amazed at my twin sister fighting style. Everything about her changes from her daily life to her fighting moments. Sure, we caught glimpses of fighting on her daily life but is for seconds only. This is the first time I see her fighting and for such a long time.
Aviva-What a waste.
I breathe in a sharp breath as she speaks so coldly, without the gentle affection or the warmth her voice usually has.
Some hours before
I am about to leave Olympus with my sister when he speaks again and my sister stops so I stop to look at her.
-Aviva.
?-I should have known you were exactly like they say. A fragile and weak woman. Afraid of herself.................
I hold her shoulder gently.
-Aviva.
She gives me a look and so I let her go as she turns around to face him and she speaks softly too, as always, so I feel better.
Aviva-Alright then, tell me. What exactly do you want from me?
?-Easy. A fight to the death is all I want with you. Of course, I want tou to use all you got before killing me or in any case, the other way around.
I worry so I call her out.
-Don't do it Aviva.
Aviva-Three.
?-Two.
-Aviva!
Aviva-One.
?-Go!
The silent room becomes a noisy battleground with the bursts of wind gushing through because of their speed and their swords clashing together. She's matching his speed because her natural speed is way faster and she has only used it to change clothes just before she started fighting, I know for two reasons but mostly because I'm the one holding her clothes on my arms.
Aviva POV: Age - 25
I breathe deeply as I jump backwards to avoid an upcoming attack and being out of reach I analyze the situation better. I smile.
-You're holding up quite well.
?-I'll say. You're not as good as I thought you were. If only you had just enough power to kill me it would at least be enjoyable.
-Careful what you wish for. You might get it.
Without giving him time to think I swing at him. He reacts in time to stop my attack making me smile. I still keep my speed slow to match his, maybe weaker, but is boring. In a swift movement of sword I groan and cough when he kicks my stomach pushing me away backwards.
Aviv-Aviva!
I start falling but leaning backwards I give a turn about using my quick reflexes and I land on the first step of the stairs. Breathing again and keeping an eye on him I caress my stomach slightly.
-Seems like I won't be able to hold back this time.
?-Hold back your weakness?
-Is been a long time since I've released myself. Try not to die too quickly.
He gives me a smirk taking a defensive stance and with a deep breath I release all of my power focusing only in speed and so I start attacking him.
Aviv POV: Age - 25
I watch how my sister finally let's loose showing her power. She looks amazing like that and even though I can't see her either my eyes I can sense her and her attacks. I listen until it stops and so I look. She's kneeling at a safe distance in front of him with her sword still pointed at him. He's in a state of shock and confusion, shaking with fear at the sight of her. I breathe sharply when in a burst of desperate rage he comes forward towards my sister. She, however, avoids without relying on her speed but blocking his attacks as her soft laugh escapes her on occasions. It goes on for a bit longer until she gets him unarmed shoving his sword out of his hands and very far out of his reach. In a bit, she searches for an opening and finds it as she punches him and she throws him on the floor in a spin. He groans as he turns to get up but doesn't as she presses her sword on the back of his neck.
Aviva-Now then, this is how it ends.
She raises her sword to kill him but with a flash of fear for her I dash forward. Not later she calls me out definitely angry.
Aviva-Aviv!
Aviva POV: Age - 25
As I swing down with the sword I am surprised when I finish the attack without a sword. I realize quickly what happened and with a quick movement I knock my opponent out with my bare hands before I call my brother out.
-Aviv!
He steps back slightly and I sigh with a smile as I walk towards him, more relaxed.
-Is unbelievable that after 25 years you still don't know me at all.
Aviv-25 years, 6 months, two weeks, three days, fourteen hours, 39 minutes, 20 seconds, counting and you're still a mystery to me.
I stop before I keep going with a small laugh.
-Never thought one person could be dumb and smart.
I stretch my hand out and knowingly, he gives me the sword but as I take it he doesn't let go.
Aviv-I can't let him kill you neither can I let you kill him.
-You really thought he could kill me? Be honest in your answer.
He straightens up before he sighs his hands on his pockets and a shrug hiding himself slightly.
Aviv-My head knows he can't but my heart feels and worries. My body reacts according to my heart.
-Hmm. Can you do me a favor?
Aviv-Anything.
-Great then, could you grab that and charge it back to you know where?
Aviv-I can but I don't see the point of doing that oh.......
He looks at my opponent and I realize what's going on through his head before his smile turns serious as he looks at me.
Aviv-You know I can't let you do that.
-I want to do it and I will do it no matter how many times you...............
I am interrupted by a sharp pain in my torso. It grows quickly but my instincts tell me how to respond and so I dash away and I stand by my brother's side. I manage to assess what just happened but still, is hard to believe it.
?-Wasn't this a fight to the death? Now then, since you won't take me seriously then I'll make you be that way.
Everything darkens and I take the same time he uses to get his attack ready to heal my torso. Getting a bad feeling about what's coming I grab my brother's hand and I'm glad he understands because he walks backwards with me. In no time we are surrounded by soldiers of him coming at us from all directions.
Aviv-So, do we let loose?
-We let loose.
He laughs and evening out our breathing we synchronize it before we let our auras surround us together and completely before it disappears and so we start fighting. Me with two swords this time and him with his bare hands.
Eventually I use only one sword and he gets a daga but when most of them are gone that I'm sure this is the end I call him softly.
-Aviv.
Aviv-Go on. I'll handle his minions.
I sigh and slowly I make my way so the minions are left for him to handle and me directly in front of my opponent. His defense and attacks are down, he's vulnerable so I make it a cautious attack and with a good aim and an excellent precision I throw my sword to him injuring exactly where he injured me, the torso, the same way he did with me. I frown and using my speed I get with him and once I'm close enough I get my hand into a fist and switching from speed to strength I dig in his chest and with my bare hands I rip his heart out of his body. As his body falls to the ground I grab my sword and get it out of him. I sigh and focus my aura in just my arm, since is my non dominant hand I got to do it this way. I breathe deeply and focusing my aim I cut his body the most I can before I sheat it and save it at last. Seeing how his body is now undone I crush his heart before letting it fall to the floor.
-Aviv.
Aviv-It is over. For real this time.
-Thanfully or hopefully?
He rolls his eyes at me but I simply smile.
Aviv-You have more talent than me with the sword.
He grabs my right arm by the wrist gently and ripping off a part of his shirt he starts cleaning the blood from my hand.
Aviv-This is not a situation for a lady such as yourself to be in.
-Compliment or insult?
He chuckles gently looking at me straight to the eyes as he speaks.
Aviv-A beautiful lady shouldn't be in an ugly situation. No matter how strong you are or how beautiful you look here I still think you look better smiling happy at home. Reading and doing everything else you enjoy doing.
-Sometimes I forget how gentle and caring you can be underneath all that hard muscle.
He straightens up with a funny reaction on his face before he speaks as he keeps cleaning the blood.
Aviv-I told you before. I react to what I feel in my heart. There, done. What should we do now? Besides the obvious of course.
He steps back smiling and I sigh.
-Where did you left my clothes?
He gets to answer but he doesn't as he looks away quietly rubbing his neck as he looks around for it.
Aviv-Lost and not found?
-Lost and not found. Come on, move yourself.
I head out and he follows. I relax slightly as we're finally going home.
To be continued.......................
