Five years later
Mekal POV: Age - 63
I sit on the courtroom with my son on the front line of seats and we watch at Mako as he presents his case fluently and defends it expertly. At some point the judge gets order in the room after an outbreak between the jury, the witness and the accused.
Judge-Enough, order in the court.
Everyone gets calmed down and so she asks.
Judge-Mako, do you have any questions for the witness?
Mako-Not at the moment your honor.
Judge-Alright then. The court is dismissed. See you all back here in two hours.
The chairs all squeak and there's a lot of noise as everyone goes out for the lunch break.
Mako-Easy now. I warned you it was going to be like this and very long but not to worry, you'll see that by the end of the day we will have won the case.
?-Are you sure we can win?
Mako-Of course.
?-I'll be on the cafeteria and then take some air.
Mako-Put an alarm half an hour early just in case and enjoy your lunch.
They shake hands and she leaves with her family as he turns to us.
Mako-Follow me.
He starts walking and we follow him to his office. He has luxury there. A big couch, a desk, some chairs, a coffee machine, a microwave, a small fridge, law books and decoration.
Mako-You can take wathever you want and eat. I might take something but I rather study the progress of the case.
Aibek-I thought you were taking a break.
Mako-And I am after I win the case.
-You were doing great on the case.
Mako-I haven't won the case.
-But you're going to win.
Mako-I know.
-Then come eat something, you will need it.
He twitches but he gets up from his desk.
Mako-You know what? I'm not going to study but I am going to ask you for a favor.
-Of course you are.
He takes off his jacket and I know what he's going to do as he has done it before but I still listen.
Mako-Wake me 45 minutes before the hour. I am setting an alarm for that time to remind you of it. Good night dad, night Aibek. Do not bother me.
He lies down on the couch and he falls asleep quickly, he's always been an easy and quick sleeper, mostly because he adapted to a routine of small naps between work shifts. I smile and reach out for him but I only brush a hair out of his face before it falls down again on his face making him squirm a little bit and so I step back.
Aibek-He is so cute when he sleeps.
-He is. What are you looking at?
Aibek-How Adelina gets along with her brothers. Live. Look.
He adjusts the phone so we can both see the kids. His kids.
Aibek-She's cooking and they're playing at the dining table.
Merik-Mom, is it alright if we play on the floor?
T-What will you do?
Malik-Walk with her a little bit.
Merik-Please.
They disappear from view but we hear them begging please to their mother. I see how she appears to get Adelina on the floor and the boys take her hands gently.
T-Be careful with her.
Merik-Yes mom, sure we will be careful.
Malik-We will be the princess protectors.
They disappear from the camera slowly with their sister and then is Tamara fixing something.
T-Yahir, don't you want to go play with your brothers and sister?
Yahir-No, I play with her alone. They're games are boring. I better stay here doing something fun.
T-Can I see what you're doing on that notebook?
Yahir-NO!
We are all alarmed by his outburst but we can see his shame when he speaks again.
Yahir-Sorry but I don't want to show it yet. Is not finished. Can I finish it in my room? Please.
T-Go on.
She laughs and smile as he scurries away and then she comes up.
T-I believe that's all for today. See you when you get here after Mako wins the case.
With that the video ends and I see that he's smiling as he stares at his phone.
-Aibek.
He only gives me a quick glance before he just saves his phone.
Aibek-We should finish eating.
-Sure.
With that we finish eating in silence.

A while later, about two hours after lunch the courtroom becomes more heated and stressed as the lawyer opposing Mako keep slowing everything down and presenting fake evidence and arguments that slow things down. He points out all their contradictions, mistakes and everything while defending his client until everything explodes in fire and he yells it out loud.
Mako-YOU KNOW THAT IS A FALSE STATEMENT!!!!!!!!........................
Is not the fact that he screams out loud but the fact that he breathes fire from his mouth. Lucky everyone he acts quickly and he covers his mouth with both hands. The entire courtroom falls silent at that and we exchange looks with Mako before he looks at the judge and he looks back at him. Everyone starts whispering and he calls for order, of course.
Judge-Silence in the courtroom.
Everyone falls silent and so he speaks again.
Judge-Mako. Come closer.
He does and the judge leans out and they whisper face to face just between the two of them. They reach an agreement and so they break up and Mako steps back as the judge sits again.
Judge-The case will continue as scheduled.
The case continues and this time however without any more interruptions. In the end the judges makes his decision and Mako wins the case.
Judge-Retroactive child support of 500,000 dollars for the years you didn't paid it and based on your income and salary we will take out the child support money until the kids are 18 or in the defect 19 if they hadn't graduated high school. I have said.
The decision is made and so the court is dismissed.
Mako POV: Age - 23
I go out of the court and I smile as my client thanks me. I watch as she goes away happy and many of my lawyer coworkers come and congratulate me as we walk back by the parking to our respective cars. Mine is the furthest one but I'm not left alone because my dad and brother follow me.
-I'm not going to the same place as you are.
Mekal-Where are you going?
-Previously arranged appointment.
Aibek-With whom?
-Alone brother. Say hi to the kids from me. I might give them something. I'll let you know soon enough.
Aibek-What are you going to get them?
-You'll see. Bye.
I wave bye and so I leave.

Kathik POV: Age - 94
I wake up one day and as usual I get dressed and I get going on my usual early morning run. I used to do it with my dragon but is been years since I last saw her, more than fifty. The same time when dad died. Now I run alone, hoping that one day she appears on the sky and joins me. It hasn't happened yet but I'm still hopeful that it will happen. In the meantime, I'm going to get ready for her arrival, that, for some reason, I think is going to happen soon.
Koray POV: Age - 39
I arrive home with my daughters Solange and Zelenia, they are 11 and 6 years old respectively.
Solange-Dad, come on, we're hungry.
Zelenia-Hurry dad.
-Alright, alright, I'm coming.
Sol-I can fix myself but I'll let you know if I need help.
-Remember to close the windows and curtains. Leave the door open.
Sol-Yes dad, I know.
She goes in her room and I go with Zelenia to her room.
-So, what would you like to dress with today?
I take two outfits out and she, of course, chooses her favorite.
Zel-I like the purple one.
-Of course you do. Come on, let's get you changed.
She nods and I help her change her school uniform to her daily clothes. In the middle of it Solange comes to the room with her hairbrush.
Sol-Hi dad. I'm almost done but I can't reach it.
She shows me her half closed zipper on the back of her dress and I chuckle.
-You both stay still.
They do and I fix Solange's dress and tidy her up.
-Do you want the same hairstyle?
Zel-Two ponies.
Sol-Loose. I want to use a diadem.
-Alrighty then.
I sit them and so I brush their hair before we go away to eat together. Is our favorite because we can eat here all the food we want from anywhere in the world. Is our favorite place because we can eat from our greek ancestry, from our hometown America and from where we are now in Japan but still, we like to have variety and variety is also healthy. As we go in the restaurant our usual waitress attends us and takes us to our table.
-What would you like to eat today?
Sol-Can we have ice cream? As the small side dish.
Zel-And the big one they serve at the begining.
-Apettizer and dessert girls.
Sol-I can never say it right even though I always use that word.
-Soon baby girl, soon. So, do you want fries for appetizer and ice cream for dessert.
Sol-Yes.
Zel-Please.
-You don't want a main dish?
They look at each other and I smile.
-Well, I'm going to order something for the both of you healthy with vegetables.
Sol-The green stuff?
Zel-Ew.
-If you eat the vegetables you can have your ice cream dessert.
Sol-I'll try to eat them.
Zel-Me too. We promise.
-Good girls. You are my beautiful baby girls. I love you both.
Zel-I love you too.
Sol-Me too daddy.
We laugh and smile and so with that we order our food and so we eat.

Santiago POV: Age - 30
I gasp and moan softer now that I reached my highest peak. Hearing my husband do the same I smile and I let myself fall on the bed, he falls right after me by my side and he cups my cheek. I lean into the warmth before I grab his hand and we cuddle closer together.
A-I love you.
-I love you too.
We share a quick soft kiss laughing softly at each other. We spend a while just caressing each other and holding each other tenderly until he speaks about it yet again.
A-We should have another kid.
-Adam. We talked about this.
A-I know but I really want more kids.
-We have two already and the youngest is just a year old. Besides, we can't afford to have more kids.
A-We can do anything and having more kids can join us more together and we will have more love to give and receive from our kids.
-Not right now Adam.
A-Why not?
I start getting up and out of bed as he asks again.
A-Why not?
-Because I said so, two kids are enough and that's it, end of the argument.
A-Where are you going?
-To sleep on the guest room. Thanks for ruining the night.
I leave our bedroom and I go to the guest room to sleep. My thoughts are very troubled, half sad and half angry but after a lot of tossing and turning and a few tears I finally fall asleep.
The next morning is tense as Adam and I are still annoyed at each other for last night's discussion. We only manage to pass the morning because of our kids. When the nanny arrives (my dad Senshi) I hand baby Noah to him carefully.
-Hi dad.
Senshi-Hi, good morning Santi. Hi Noah.
I contain a laugh as Noah cheers happy on his arms before he focuses and plays with dad's shirt buttons. As we get in the living room Adam passes by and he speaks to me, asking.
A-Shall we go to work now?
We usually go when dad is here but today I don't feel like going but I will, just not with him. So I show him the keys for the other car and without further words he goes away. I sigh deeply after the door closes but I'm not aware of it until dad speaks up and asks.
Senshi-Something wrong between you and Adam?
-No, nothing at all, why?
Senshi-You always go away together and if not you always share a quick kiss.
-We did kissed. Earlier.
Senshi-You really don't know how to lie.
-Nothing happened, leave it. Liam, come greet your grandpa.
Not soon after he comes from his room and noticing his untied shoelaces I stand up and I catch him just as he falls.
Liam-Thank you.
-I have told you not to run in the house and especially with the shoelaces undone.
Liam-Sorry.
I help him sit and so as I tie his laces I ask.
-Did you ate all your breakfast?
Liam-Yes.
-Did you brushed your teeth?
Liam-Yes.
-Behave while I'm gone.
Liam-Where's dad Adam?
-Gone to work.
Liam-Are you angry with him?
I look at him worried and confused on what to tell him. I can't lie to him, he's my son but I can't tell him anything either. I sigh and so I kiss his forehead gently.
-There's nothing you should worry about. Everything will be alright, you'll see. Don't you worry, alright?
Liam-Ok.
He seems down so I poke him.
-Good boy. You can play in your room now if you like.
He smiles brightly laughing as he goes and I smile.
-Keep him smiling.
I turn to leave when he holds me by the arm.
Senshi-I'm listening to you.
I look over my shoulder at him and catching a glimpse of Noah and Liam together on the other room I look at dad as he waits for my response.
Senshi-Santiago?
Inhaling sharply I jump on him and I bury myself on his chest trying not to cry to loudly as he envelops me in a comforting hug.
Senshi-That's it, let it all out.
I do and that day we talk a lot about it before I finally go to work in the evening with a better mood.
