Karma drops to the floor exhausted.
Ka-Ugh, that was more exhausting than the race.
We all laugh at that and we go back home. Once we're home they both drop on the couch together and they fall asleep right there. I look to Hades and he gives me a side hug looking at them.
Ha-I guess they were more exhausted than they thought.
-Yes, they really are. They didn't even bother in changing the team uniform.
Ha-Let's let them sleep here tonight.
I nod and we go to eat and to bed for the day.
The next morning when I wake up is too early for anyone to be up so I try to go back to sleep but as I can't I head to the kitchen for a midnight snack and as I get closer I hear laughing noises and when I enter I see Karma and Nova playing a fast reflex game. I laugh and they turn to me smiling.
N-Guess what?
-I have no idea. What?
N-I'm going to do skating.
Ka-And I'm going to help her. How long do we have until the competition.
N-We have two years. I have to be eighteen to compete.
I finish my glass of water and I go back to bed. I wrap myself around Hades and sleep just like that.
The next time I wake up is morning already and Hades is awake but still on bed with me. I give him a kiss letting him know I'm awake and he gives me another kiss.
Ha-Morning baby.
-Morning. How long you've been awake?
Ha-Enough. I love to see you when you sleep.
-I love you.
Ha-I love you too.
We get up and we go to get breakfast and we find the children already there eating happily stealing food from each other and laughing as they make funny faces at each other. We stay there until Nova notices us and she smiles.
N-Hey, look who's finally awake.
Ha-Caught redhanded. Her fault.
-Hey.
We all laugh together and we eat together.
K-Can we go have fun?
Ha-Where?
She gets her siblings close and she whispers something to them and they nod turning back to us.
K-Bonjee jumping.
Ha-Are you saying that you want to throw yourselves from a high place with only a cord holding you?
K-Precisely.
N-Please.
Ka-Is different, exciting, fun, and we'll have a good time. Yes?
The girls make puppy eyes at him and they blink a couple times at him with their most charming smiles until he sighs nodding and they scream together and they stand and hug him tightly before they go back to their seats.
Ha-When do you want to go?
K-As soon as possible.
He checks his phone for dates and everything and when he finds one.
Ha-How about, today after lunch?
They look at each other and they nod accordingly.
K-Sure.
Ha-Then go get dressed properly.
They go to their proper rooms and they change clothes.

Nova up, Karma down

Karai down

When they come out Karma and Nova have matching clothes and Karai is in shorts and a blouse and we all head to the car and go to the bonjee jumping place and as we go they start enjoying themselves.
K-Let's get some music.
N-Can I sing?
Ka-I can make the instruments.
She nods and she gets her purse and she takes a CD out and slides it in the radio. The music starts and they start singing and drumming and clapping together with synchronised movements. I get my phone recording and I put it so it shows all of us.

They scream and both Hades and Karma wince at their loud screaming.
K & N-He's so handsome.
More screaming before the next song plays. Karai gets the volume up and up to the maximum.
K-This one is good.
The song starts and they start singing along and I understand what she means soon enough.

After the song ends Hades turns off the radio and they pout until he stops them.
Ha-We're here.
They get down and they enjoy the air and we go all to the equipment store and we get the cords and everything and head to the bridge. Hades let's outs a whistle as he looks how high it is.
Ha-Are you sure you want to do this?
K-I'll go first.
N-And I'll go second.
Ka-Last.
Staff-Is it tight and secure. Now, step here carefully.
Karai steps on the border and she jumps screaming and laughing and then after about five minutes they pull her back up. She appears smiling with her hands behind her head.
K-That was fun.
They get her down and they prepare Nova for the jump and we see as she jumps and then Karma jumps as well. When he's pulled up again he's just hanging there relaxed. He's put down and his sisters help him up.
N-Come on.
K-Get up.
Ka-Thank you. Is there somewhere we can eat? I'm hungry.
With that we go to a stand of food that's by the entrance and we order our food. As we wait for our food to be ready we see as Karma and Nova start dancing together. Karai gets their phones and she records with both of them at the same time. The food is ready and I call them and they come hurriedly.
Ha-Give this to Karai and this for Karma and Nova. And here's yours as well.
I get them each their respective meals and take mine and he takes his and pays up. We sit down to eat and we share stories until a powerful wind blows and then the climate takes a turn for the worst. Hades and I turn to protect our children and as the climate keeps raging on I turn to Hades.
-We have to protect them.
He nods and we draw our auras together and I draw a shield over them protecting them while Hades's reaper hovers protectively over the shield adding strength.
-I don't understand, what could be causing this.
Suddenly a voice that I recognize as the worst speaks and I feel my blood boil at the sound of it as he laughs.
Astraeus-What could it be indeed?
He laughs even more and I see as Karai and Hades frown as they too recognize the titan.
-Astraeus.
He appears in front of us smiling and just the sight of him and knowing he's there makes me angry.
Ha-What do you want?
I see as Hades moves slowly between him and our children and I move to the opposite side of him.
Astraeus-What do I want, is not about what I want but who I want.
I see as he gets closer to Karai and Nova taking their hands tightly. Astraeus looks at Nova on Karma's arms and he smiles. He disappears in thin air and when he reappears he's behind Nova and he takes a strand of her hair on his hand and smells it.
Astraeus-The scent of beauty and youth, so pure and innocent.
Ha-Let go of her.
Hades pulls her out of his grasp and closer to him while with the other hand he attacks with his aura before he kicks him away. Karma jumps in front of Nova enveloping both of them with his aura. Astraeus gets back up still smiling and then the next thing we know he's bleeding by his mouth. He coughs and when he looks down there is a short knife sticking out of his torso then we hear Nova speaking.
N-Leave.
Astraeus-My, my, did you do this?
He gets the knife out of him and he gets on a knee resting a hand on the wound before he gets up again.
Astraeus-It looks like I have to teach you how to behave.
We all attack him but he evades it by a hair and when he gets back down I see as Karai pierces an auramade sword through his chest and then she holds him down under her foot. He turns to look at her.
Astraeus-I feel sorry for you.
K-Die already you bastard. And stay dead.
She turns to see her dad and she motions for him to dealt the finishing blow and he does with a single, swift movement. He starts to disappear and he becomes nothing and we return to our own thing. We go back to the car and all the way back Karai plays with her knife and Nova rests against Karma's shoulder as he hugs her tightly and comfortingly. I tap my fingers against the seat and the crystal and Hades flexes his fingers on a fist again and again. When we get home when we make sure everything's fine and there is no sign of Astraeus we allow ourselves to relax. That night we sleep together on the living room. I watch as my family sleeps peace fully before I fall asleep too.
The next morning when I wake up I find Karai giving drinks to everyone. A green shake for Hades, two hot chocolates for her siblings, a coffee for me and a milkshake for her. We all drink our respective drinks and we get ready for the day.

After a few days the kids are at home while Hades and I are away on work. When we finish work as we are on our way home I turn to him.
-I'm worried what we can find when we get there.
Ha-I'm sure the kids are fine.
-Oh no is not the kids I'm worried about, is the house.
Ha-The house?
-Yes. Hope they didn't burn it down.
He laughs at my reasoning and he takes my hand linking it with his and kisses it.
Ha-Don't worry. I'm sure they're doing just fine.
He gives me a short kiss before he starts driving again. When we get home the house is almost too silent and as we go in we hear a lot of screaming and laughing maniacally. We turn and we see all three of them in front of the TV watching a scary movie. I smile and I turn to Hades smiling devilishly and he understands quickly my thought. We get closer silently to them from behind and then we scare them with a scream, they all get scared and they end up with Nova hiding behind Karma, when they realize is us they start laughing.
N-Don't scare us like that anymore.
Ka-Why do you have to do that?
Ha-What are you watching?
K-We are watching horror movies.
N-The horror ones, all gross and bloody. Look. Come, sit here.
We sit at their side and she gives play to the movie and we watch as people get their heads broken and their bones sticking out of their bodies and the intestines gushing out. Not long after we are all watching the movies with them and when is over we go to sleep.
                       Karma POV
I wake up in the middle of the night and I take as usual my water bottle but I notice is empty so I stand from the bed to get a new one and I notice that Nova is not on her bed. At first I suppose she's on the bathroom or in the kitchen eating a late snack but when I don't see her there I look around and then I notice the front door opened widely. I look quickly and before anything else I go to my parents bedroom waking them up roughly.
-Mom, dad, wake up.
Ha-What Karma? Go back to sleep.
-No, you don't understand, Nova's gone.
They both jolt up wide awake now.
Ha-What do you mean she's gone? Gone where?
-I don't know, I woke up to drink something and she wasn't on her bed.
He-Did you check if she's with Karai?
-Not there either, come on, we have to look for her.
They nod and they get up and get dressed and we go look for her. We check the roof before we go to security to see by the cameras if she got out.
-There is no way she could've gotten out of the building.
Just as I say that I see Nova in the camera going out of the building.
-I stand corrected.
Ha-Is there any cameras outside that show us in which direction she went?
The police officer pulls up another camera and we see that she headed to the right towards the park. We thank him and we go look for her. We take separate paths promising to meet in the agency's front door in an hour no matter if we have news or not on her.
