Anamika is working on her desk as Vineet asked her to make the pointers, when her phone rings. She is shocked to hear what the caller had to say.

"What? Main abhi aa rahi hoon." she says, picks her purse and moves towards the exit door.

Vineet emerges out of his cabin at the same time. Anamika stops on her track and glances at him. She doesn't want to tell him anything about her past or about having a son. She turns to him and before he could ask anything, she gave words to her feelings.

"Sir, meeting aap hi kijiyega, I have to rush. Sorry!" she says and rushes out of the office without giving him a chance to speak.

Vineet is astonished at her swift move. She leaves  the office and hires a taxi. She reaches her society when her friend calls her to tell, that she has taken Ansh to the hospital.

Lifeline Hospital

Anamika rushes inside and finds her friend at the reception.

"Kya hua mere Ansh ko? Kaise lagi? Zyada toh nahi lagi?" she questions worriedly.

"Relax anu! Doctors treat kar rahe hai usko. Tu shant ho ja." her friend replies.

But, how can a mother relax when her son is hurt. For Anamika, Ansh is her reason to live. She can tolerate anything, but can't see her son in pain. She's longing to see him, to hug him and give him a soothing touch.

"Kahan hai ansh?" she asks, taking a deep breath.

Her friend leads her way to the emergency ward. She watches Ansh being treated by the doctors. The little boy is hurt on the head. Anamika's eyes turn watery instantly.

"Ye sab kaise hua? Maine usey kaha tha ghar pe hi rahe." Anamika speaks to her friend.

"Bache khel rahe they Anu. Bhaagte Bhaagte wo slip hua and table se lag gayi. Don't worry  he will be fine." her friend replies trying to calm her.

Anamika is teary eyed by now, seeing her son hurt. She wants to go to him, but she wasn't allowed. Her friend makes her sit on the bench. After a while, the doctor comes our and Anamika rushes to him.

" Doctor, mera beta kaisa hai? Wo thik hai na? Koi tension toh nahi hai na?" she asks in one go.

"Relax, the situation is under control. Humne wound stitch kar diya hai. Kuch time mein usey hosh aa jayega." he says.

“Kya main usse mil sakti hoon? " she asks.

" Han thodi derr mein hum usey normal ward mein shift kar denge. Tab aap mil lijiyega. Filhal aap formalities puri kar dijiye." the doctor says.

Anamika agrees to the doctor and follows him to his cabin. She fulfills the formalities, while Ansh is shifted into the normal ward. Anamika walks inside and sits near the bed. She ruffles Ansh’s hair. Tears drop down her eyes. She wants him to wake up and call her Mumma, but the boy is still asleep under the effect of sedatives. She kisses on his head. She's blaming herself for leaving her son alone at home. Also, she has been working late today. She should have been home early with her son.  She's apologising to her son, and crying. Afterall, she can't afford to lose her son now.

Outside the ward, a pair of eyes is watching her. It's Vineet, who came there to collect Angel's reports as she had asked him to. The doctor, who is treating Ansh, comes there and finds Vineet staring inside the ward.

Vineet looks at the doctor…

"Who is she?" he asks.

"Anamika sinha, unke bete ko sar mein chot aayi hai. I am treating the boy. " the doctor says.

"Is he alright?" vineet asks.

"ya he is fine. I'm going to check him up." the doctor says and enters the ward without hearing Vineet's reply.

Little Ansh is awake by now. But he's unaware of what happened to him.

"Mumma mujhe yahan nahi rehna." he complains to anamika.

The doctor smiles.

"Arey champion ghar chale jana, zara main dekh toh loon tumhe!" he says.

"no aap injection doge." ansh says while looking at her doctor.

The doctor laughs at Ansh's sudden reply and ruffles his hair softly. Anamika looks at Ansh.

"Nahi denge injection, ansh. Aap leto, doctor uncle ko check karne do." Anamika says.

Ansh pouts but lets the doctor do the  check up. He finds his mother worriedly looking at the doctor. The  doctor finishes the check up and Anamika turns to him. The doctor smiles, sensing her questions.

"He's fine. Aap isey ghar le ja sakti hain. But you have to take care of him, at least a week." the doctor instructs her.

Anamika smiles and nods her head in affirmation.

"I will take care, doctor." Anamika replies.

The doctor nods and leaves the cabin. Anamika makes Ansh sit up and after taking the prescription from the doctor, she starts moving out of the hospital along with Ansh.

She is walking ahead when she hears someone calling her. She stops on her track and turns around. She is surprised to find Vineet.

"Aap yahan?" she asks.

"Haan, kuch kaam se aaya tha. Tumhe dekha, everything alright? And who's he?" he asks while looking at the little boy.

Anamika sighs while Ansh smiles at Vineet. She has to tell him everything. Now that he has seen Ansh with her, he will ask questions. So, it's better to tell him the truth, she thinks. Maybe, it will be helpful for her in the future.

"Yeah! Yeh mera beta hai, Ansh. Isey chot lagi thi, but ab thik hai. Thanks for asking." Anamika replies.

Vineet looks at both the mother and son.

"Come, I'll drop you at your home." he says generously.

Anamika is surprised. He's being so soft and caring towards her. He even stopped by to ask her if she has any problem.

"No thank you. I'll manage." Anamika says politely.

"No formality Miss Sinha. I know you'll need some help. Aur aapka beta toh mujhe jaanta hai, kyun bache?" Vineet says while looking at Ansh.

"Haan mumma, ye na mere dost ke mama hai. Main inse school mein mila tha." Ansh chuckles.

Anamika glances at both her son and Vineet. Vineet smiles lightly at her, as if assuring she'll be fine. She sighs and agrees. She tells him her address and they leave with him. Ansh seems happy.
Reaching her society, she helps Ansh out of the car and thanks him for the help. Vineet smiles.

"Waise jab tak Ansh thik nahi ho jata, aap chutti le sakti hain." he says.

Anamika is surprised again. She has just joined his office and he already granted his leaves because her son is hurt. He is surely a loving person, she feels. She is touched by his gesture and thanks him for his generosity, and says that she'll work from home. She can help him s without going to office. Vineet agrees and takes his leave after telling Ansh to take care.

Ansh and Anamika reach home and she asks Ansh to rest.

" Ansh ko bhook lagi hai. " the boy says.

" Aap baitho, main kuch banati hoon, and no shaitani." anamika warns her son.

Ansh nods his head naughtily. After a while, she makes him have his food and puts him to sleep. She kisses his head and thinks about her day, Vineet's help and she sleeps with all these thoughts.

Next morning, Anamika wakes up and finds Ansh sleeping. She lets him sleep, for he is hurt. She freshens up and is  relaxed as she isn't going to the office. She makes coffee for herself and is relishing it, when Ansh comes out  of the room and lays on her lap. It seems  like he is angry at his mother for leaving him alone in the room.

Anamika caresses his hair and they get engaged in a play, when the doorbell rings . Ansh rushes to open the door, while she follows him and clicks open the door from top.. She is surprised to see the person on the door, while on the other hand, her son seems happy.
