Thomas POV

I don't know how long we sat there hugging each other. Probably at least an hour. Logan had teleported Nathen's body away and Virgil cleaned up the blood. It was awful that Roman had to do that. That is in his mind now him pulling that trigger.

David was still shaken up. As we all were in our respective ways.

David's POV

I felt as if I was 12 again that day. The slide,the truck,my mom. It was like it was yelling at me. I couldn't take it. I was sitting on the couch trying not to think about it. "Hey kiddo" I looked up to see Patton. A huge smile across his face.

"Hi Patton" I said trying to be more pep.

He sat down next to me and put his arm around me. He didn't say anything he just sat with me. I didn't know someone just being with you could help as much as it did.

The day felt as if it was going in slow motion,I didn't like it. Everyone was quite not really talking. Just being around each other. It was as if any of us talking would break something.

Virgil's POV.

He was ok they were ok. Alive not gone. But I still felt the weight of Patton's body in my arms. My mind flashing back to that moment when the life left his eyes.

He sat next to Logan on the couch then he looked at me and smiled at me and I couldn't help but smile to. He's ok he's right there Virge he's not gone. I kept telling myself trying to shake the memory away.

No sleep came to me that night. None I couldn't get that picture out of my head.

I had killed my best friend my dad....I.....me I did it.

But I didn't do it! It wasn't me I wasn't there and he's ok. Yet it kept coming back.

Crawling slowly inching its way back.

Clinging to me like a baby to its mother.

Leaking in the back of my mind.

Staying there no matter what I did.

There it sat not leaving,no matter how many times I told myself it was ok. That HE was ok. It stayed not moving not leaving.

Whispering at me "you killed him,you did it" over and over.

It was like Mike trying to contact Eleven only Mike was the Demagorgen.
