Ok first off this chapter is looong like in the 2 thousands on word count. Second it's sad like really sad I cried ok.

Romans POV

"Ummm that's why kiddo" Patton said pointing to my hands. I looked down in confusion. And my hands had flames in them. I hadn't even noticed I had made them.

"Has that ever happened before?" Virgil asked.

"N..no" I didn't know what to think. What was going on? I clenched my fists extinguishing the flames.

"Well that was interesting" Logan said. He took my hands in his examining them,as if he was going to find anything.

"Ya it was" Thomas said looking confused and I bit worried.

What happened? I asked myself how could I have made fire and not even realized it? 

Pattons POV

It had been a couple hours since Joan and Talyn went home. We were all sitting on the couch Logan still thinking about what was going on with Romans powers.

He kept looking at Roman's hands. "Ok Logan stop,you've been doing that for the past hour your not going to find anything" Roman said taking his hands out of Logan's.

"Sorry" Logan said "I'm just confused"

"We all are kiddo" I butted in. Logan gave me a smile.

"Ya even I'm a bit worried" Virgil said shifting in his seat next to me on the couch.

"You,worried about me? Whhhaaaaattt??" Roman said putting his hand on his chest.

"Haha" Virgil mocked him back.

"So nothing like that's ever happened before?" David asked.

"Nope"
"No,it's quite odd"
"Ya never happened"
"No it hasn't"

David looked kinda scared,he was thinking as we all were."I'm guys?!" Virgil's said. I looked over to him and he looked terrified his hands filled wit lightning.

"Ok what is going on?!" Logan asked waking over to Virgil. "Can you turn it off?" He asked. Virgil looked at Logan for a second before getting rid of his lightning.

Logan then grabbed Virgil's hands "oh no your not doing that with me too" Virgil said taking his hands away.

"Something's going on here,first Roman now Virgil" Logan said as he stared pacing.

DING DONG! The door bell rang out through the house. Thomas looked at us "code red guys code red,you know the drill" we nodded and all of us taking David along with us as he had no idea what "code red" meant. Made our way to Thomas room closing the door.

Thomas POV

I waited making sure they were all in my room before going to the door. I opened it to see a man quite a bit older then me. In a wrinkled yellow T-shirt and a jean jacket.

"Hi" I said trying to be polite even though I was a bit nervous I didn't know this man and my gut was telling he wasn't good.

"Hello,Im Nathen" the man said "I'm looking for someone,who I have suspicion to believe is residing here"

Ok this was sketchy as heck. "I'm sorry but I live alone" I said closing the door a bit so he would have to push me out of the way if he wanted o get in.

He gave a smile but it was a total fake smile. He pushed me out of the way and walked into my apartment. He looked around searching.

"I'm sorry but I'm going to have to ask you to leave,or I will call the police" he turned towards me.

"No you not Thomas"

How did he know my na—I was not going to call the police.

"Now Thomas you're going to go and tell your friends that it's safe to come out"

"Guys you can come out!"

What? No guys don't come out. But it was to late.

I heard my bedroom door click open and everyone walked out. A look of horror instantly came over David.

Nathan gave another fake smile "hello David"

David backed away,me and the others catching on that something was wrong. My gut was right.

Nathan walked over to David. David acting like a submissive puppy.
"I see you found some friends" Nathan said "that's good"

"Wh..why? What do you want?" David asked cowering away from him.

"Oh I just want what you wanted for me,revenge" he said with another smile.

Wait this,This was the man that tortured him. Ohhh no I wasn't going to let that happen again.
David was so scared he was normally pretty tuff. But now he was once again Nathan's puppet.

Pattons POV

Nathan turned around to face us the stupid fake smile plastered on his smug face. "And you guys I know a lot about you." He said.

How would he know anything about us?

"Like I know that you" he said pointing to Virgil "you considered running away when you were 8 because of your father" Virgil shuffled back a step from surprise.

"H-how did you know that?" He asked his voice shaking. Nathan didn't give him an answer. He then turned to Roman.

"And how you,when you were 13 set your own shirt on fire when you where home alone" Nathan laughed "now that's funny" Roman stood bigger taking a small step towards Nathan.

"I've yet to get into your heads though" he said addressing me Logan and Thomas.

"You have mind control" Logan said Nathan gave a nod. "That's What was happening you were controlling Roman and Virgil,why I outta" Logan said taking a couple steps towards Nathan as he rose his fist.

"Ay ah" Nathan said and Logan stoped dead in his tracks and put his arm down.

"Stop!" Nathan turned to David.

"Leave them alone!" David continued.

"Oh you see David that's not my plan though"

"Then What is?!"

Nathan put his hand up making a fist.

Virgil turned to me,and Roman turned to Logan. "What is it Virgil?" I asked no response he looked blank,tired, no emotion in his face.

"You see David,the best way to torture someone is not to torture them. But the ones they love"

Virgil's hands filled with lightening and Roman's with fire. "V-Virgil?...this this isn't you,fight it" I said backing away from him.

"He he can't Patton" Logan said backing away from Roman.

"No!" Thomas yelled charging at Nathan. But he stoped,and just went and sat on the couch,his face expressionless.

"Nathan im sorry,please don't do this" David said pleading

"Mmmm??...nah" Nathan said. Virgil kept advancing towards me. He didn't even look like himself.

"Roman" Logan said tears filling his eyes. "I know you can't fight it,but we're family know matter what" Roman stoped for a second then kept going.

"Virgil please don't" I said my eyes burned with tears. But they weren't for me,they were for him. I know he would never hurt me,this wasn't him. This wasn't my kiddo.

"NATHEN STOP!!" David screamed.
Nathan ignored him.

I then hit the wall,Logan hitting it as well. Virgil's lighting intense as was Roman's fire. "It's ok Virgil,it's ok" his lighting then weakened a bit then became big again. I looked over at Logan tears streaming down his face. Logan didn't cry often it was hard seeing him in pain.

I put my hand out and took his hand our fingers interlocked. I gave him a smile and he gave me one. "Family,no matter what" I said my voice shaky Logan nodded

"No matter what" he said his hand squeezing mine. I looked back to Virgil I knew what he was going to do.........but,for some reason I wasn't scared,or sad I was ok with dying. Why? I don't know I felt at a level of peace. My face illuminated by his lighting. The light growing more intense every second.

I smiled at him as he put his hand out towards me. My face was hot I thought of him. Of Logan as I felt his hand clenching mine. I thought of Thomas,how we had taken him in and brought him in as a part of our family. I thought of Roman of how he was always there to protect us. And I thought of David and all of his lost. I hoped he could find another family. I smiled,the end was near and I was ok with that.

"It's ok,I love you kiddo"

Virgil's face was blank. It crushed me to see him like that. To imagine him waking up and finding me dead at his own hand. I didn't want that for him. Or Roman I hate seeing my family in pain. I was supposed to be there for them. To be there shoulder to cry on. There hand to squeeze. There caretaker. There dad. And I had failed at that. I couldn't do anything. And that was the thing that hurt the most.

Virgil put his hand on my chest. My body pulsing with the shock. The electricity running through me. Logan's hand squeezing mine and me squeezing his. I glanced at him tears on his face he smiled at me. As if to say I love you or I'm sorry.

I looked back to Virgil,he was looking right though me. Like I wasn't even there. My eyes flickered my body slumped against the wall. My grip on Logan's hand loosened as did his on mine. The last thing I saw was Virgil coming out of his trance. The look of pure sadness and terror on his face. I slumped and slid down the wall closing my eyes as Virgil yelled out my name.

Virgil's POV

The life left his eyes as he slid down the wall. "Patton!" I yelled no no no I can't have no. I clutched his body lifeless in my arms. I looked over at Roman he was clutching Logan. Logan's shirt, tie and chest were burned horrendously his to limp body cradled in Romans arms.

I looked back to Patton,his body in my arms I did this. Why? He was my rock the only thing keeping me from going crazy. And I had killed him....me. "It's ok dad I'm here your ok"

"No" I heard a faint whisper. Thomas sat down in between me and Roman. Tears on his face. He took one of Pattons hands. And one of Logan's. I felt like I should've been crying but I wasn't. I was blank I didn't know what to feel.

"NOO!!" David yelled as he fell to his knees beside me. Logan,our wise,know it all, always trying to help. And Patton our support our love our caretaker......both.....gone.

At there families own hand.

I had done this my powers my hand my doing. I rocked back and forth Patton laying on my lap my arms hugging him as I always did. Only he didn't hug me back.

Romans POV

"Logan" my voice shook with my tears. His chest was almost black with burns. His shirt and tie practically gone. His glasses crooked on his face. I fixed them placing them in there proper place on his nose. Logan was my best friend. Ya he was more uptight them me and we butt head a bit,but. He was always there to talk to. He was a very good person to talk to. He would always try and help anyway he could. But now he was gone. Him and Patton were both gone.....gone at mine and Virgil's doing. I always tried to protect them be there knight. But I turned out being the dragon.

Nathan then just...walked out. Normally I would've gone after him. But I didn't want to leave anybody right now.

After what felt like forever I actually fell asleep. I dreamt that I saved them that I took Nathan out before he controlled us. But then I woke up to reality Logan and Patton were gone. We couldn't change that fact.

"I'm so sorry" Thomas said. I looked over at him.

"I'm sorry this happened" he said.

"It's not your fault Thomas" I said sadly Logan still it my arms.

He looked at me his eyes puffy from crying. His head fell so his chin met his chest his head shaking back and forth. David sat next to Virgil turning his hat in his hands tear stains on his checks.

I once more looked back to Logan,I couldn't believe it.

No I could,I just didn't want to.

"Why did this have to happen?" Thomas said.

Thomas' POV

"I finally had a family again..and now it's broken,now I really wish I had time travel"
