"I'm sorry son but I can't be able to make it this time around"

Tai said as he sat on his chair writing reports in his home office for work.

"But Dad..."

Tai Jr whined. Just then Paige came inside the apartment and heard the whine.

"What's going on?"

She ask as she took off her jacket and hanged it up inside the closet and walked into the home office. Tai Jr turned around to face Paige.

"Dad said he can't make it to my school tomorrow for Career Day"

He said. Paige smiled gently and walked up to Tai who was busy working and kissed him on the cheek.

"And why not?"

She asked to her boyfriend.

"Because I'm stuck with paperwork and I can't afford to miss a day"

Tai said as he continued to write. Paige thought for a moment.

"Well how about me?"

She asked with a smile. Tai Jr liked the idea but frown.

"But you're not my mom or a parent to me"

"Perhaps but I am with your father so that should at least count for something right?"

She asked. Tai Jr happily nodded and agreed.

"Okay. Can you come to my school tomorrow at 10?"

"Of course"

"Oh and come with your uniform"

"Okay"

She said with a smile.

"Thanks a million Paige"

The toddler said happily as he went off to his room to play with Koromon. Tai looked up at his girlfriend with a smile.

"Thanks for doing this Paige"

"No problem, at least I'm taking some stuff off your plate. Have you had lunch yet?"

"Not yet"

"Then I'll make you some lunch"

She said giving him a kiss on the lips before stepping out of the office and headed to the kitchen. Tai smiled at his girlfriend.

'She is a one of a kind'

He thought with a smile before continuing his work.

*Next Day At School*

"Okay class next we have Ms. Blum who is a mother to Tai Kamiya Jr"

The teacher said as she motion Paige to come up front. Paige was about to correct the teacher but decided against it because she only has 5 minutes to talk. Paige happily smiled as she walked to the front of the class holding a baby monkey in her arm.

"Hey you guys, so just by looking at this little guy you could probably tell what it is that I do. Let's see how many of you been to the zoo?"

She asked and the whole class raised their hands immediately with excitement.

"That's great. I work at the zoo and basically my team mates and I help to take care of animals from big to small. We clean them, feed them, take them baths and especially my favorite part is playing with them. There is so much to learn with animals because we get to learn the characteristics and learn what role they play in the animal kingdom. So before my time runs up how about I get each of you a pass to the zoo including your family"

She said and a roar of cheer came from the students. Some even tapped Tai Jr on is back complimenting him about Paige.

"Wow your mom is the coolest"

"You are so lucky"

"I wish my mom was like her"

Student's commented to Tai Jr who happily smiled at the thought as he looked to Paige who was letting students touch the monkey.

'Yeah my mom is the coolest'

He thought happily in calling Paige his new mom.

*After School*

"Hey how did the career day go?"

Tai asked his girlfriend who was laying down on the couch.

"It went great, Tai looked happy more than usual"

She said sleepily.

"I'm gonna take a quick nap okay babe"

She said before dozing off. Tai smiled at her, as he went into his son's room who was busy coloring.

"Hey buddy how did you like Paige going to your class today?"

Tai asked. The toddler smiled as he looked up at his father.

"I really love mom"

He said before going back to his coloring. Tai remained frozen with a small grin crawling at his face.

"Mom?"

He asked. Tai Jr held up a picture to Tai.

"This is Agumon, you, me and mom"

He said pointing to each picture. Tai raised one eye brow as he saw the word mom pointing towards the drawing of a women with blonde hair with red tips and green eyes.

'He's calling Paige mom'

He thought with a smile. He then turned his attention back to his son.

"You see Paige as your mom?"

He asked. Tai Jr happily nodded.

"Yeah I want her to be my new mom"

He said getting up and ran out of his room and into the livingroom where Paige was sleeping. Carefully he crawled on the couch with Paige, and happily laid down beside her laying his head on her chest to where her heart beats. Paige slowly was awoken by the movement and smiled when it was just Tai Jr, she then wrapped her arms around him in a hug before falling back to sleep. To Tai Jr it was a sign of comfort and protection. Tai stepped out of the room and smiled at the scene as he saw his son take nap in Paige's arms.

*Night Time*

"His teacher called me his mom, and I didn't even get a chance to correct her because she only gave parent's 5 minutes to speak"

Paige said as she drank some of her hot tea that Tai made for her. They were currently out on the balconey talking sitting on the chairs while Tai Jr was inside alseep in his room. Tai smiled at Paige.

"I told you so"

"What?"

She asked with a raised eyebrow.

"Tai sees you as his mom, look just look at the drawing he did today"

Tai said as he handed her the drawing. Paige's face broke out with a smile and looked to Tai.

"I'm letting you know now before he calls you mom and catch you off guard"

Tai said. Paige couldn't help but lean over and kiss Tai passionately on the lips catching him off guard as he happily returned the kiss.
