"Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday to Mommy/Paige, happy birthday to you!"

Tai, Tai Jr, Agumon, Gatomon, Kari, Yuuko and Susumu sang happily to Paige who had a cake right in front of her with a lit candle.

"Make a wish, Mom"

Tai Jr said excitedly. Paige smile as she blew out her candle as everyone clap for her. After eating cake, it was time for the presents.

"Open mine first mom"

Tai Jr said handing her his gift.

"Well I wonder what this could be"

She said as she open the gift to find a heart shape candle, slippers and a picture drawing of of a heart.

"Oh sweetie, I love it. Thank you!"

She said giving him a kiss on the cheek. Then it was Kari, Yuuko, Susumu and finally Tai.

"Okay, this one is the last one, hope you like it"

Tai said with a smile as he handed her present bag. Paige smiled as she looked to the item in the bag and gasp in shock. She slowly looked to Tai.

"But how did..."

She said trailing off as Tai cut in.

"I had help from Izzy. So what do you think?"

He asked nervously. Paige looked back to her gift and broke down hugging the picture frame. In the frame it revealed her, Tai, Tai Jr and Paige's daughter that past away.

"T-thank you. So so much"

She cried. Tai Jr sadly embraced her first before everyone else.

*Later*

Paige was relaxing sitting out on the balcony drinking a smoothie as she stare out to the city. Tai gently knock on the wall before stepping out.

"Hey"

"Hey"

"Paige I just..."

Tai said quietly but Paige cut him off with a smile.

"I was just thinking, in the beginning I was so hard on you but for some reason your determination brought me to life"

Tai smiled as he remembered that day.

*Flashback*

As promise Tai took Paige to the nearest coffee shop. They sat across from each other not saying a word as they sip their coffee. Tai couldn't help but notice Paige was actually a beautiful women and the night they spend together was amazing.

"So I am a single father, apparently I'm bad at marriages"

He said with a slight chuckle but Paige didn't smile or responded.

"So...tell me about you?"

He asked. Paige slightly frown at him.

"Why do you want to know about me?"

"Well I assume because after what happen between us..."

"First of all there is no us and secondly should I be worried because now you know my home address. Are you a stalker?"

"No I'm not a stalker"

"Then good. We are just two strangers who are having coffee, that's the end of that"

She said sternly as she took a sip. Tai slightly frown at the cold attitude.

"Why can't you open up to me?"

Paige looked down at her coffee in hand, shaking slightly from anger, she took a sip of her coffee before throwing it at Tai.

"Thanks for the coffee, asshole"

She said standing up and walked out of the coffee shop. Tai gasp at the burn and soon cool down as he watched her leave. He sadly looked down in shame. Tai soon headed back home as he showered and change into some new clothes but for some reason he couldn't get Paige out of his mind just only after spending a few hours with her. He prepared himself to look more appealing unbuttoning three button on the top of his dress up shirt before heading to Paige's apartment. He gently knock to reveal Paige glaring at him.

"I asked you if you were a stalker and you said no"

She immediately said angrily as she was about to close the door but Tai stopped her.

"Look I know I stepped on the wrong foot here, but tell me what I did wrong"

Paige swinged open her door and pointed at his chest angrily.

"Listen your not my friend, your not my boyfriend, your not my father and your not my husband. You're just a nobody, a one night stand guy"

Tai sadly looked to her.

"It doesn't have to be. Listen last night was the best night of my life and I want more of that not just the sex but I want it to be something more, if you give me a chance"

Tai said lowly before lowering his head to kiss her but she pushed him away angrily.

"Look I don't know who the fuck you think you are but you don't just go around and...."

Tai immediately pressed his lips to Paige silencing her with a deep hard kiss. Paige tried fighting it and soon she melted into the kiss. They both pulled away panting as they stared at each other. Paige sadly looked to him.

"Do you want to come inside?"

"Please"

He said as he followed her inside as she went to prepare a tea as Tai took a look around in her apartment and saw pictures of her, her daughter and a man.

"Oh, your married?"

He asked to Paige who shook her head.

"Is your daughter here?"

He asked and again Paige shook her head. Tai slightly frown as he went to sit beside Paige who was sitting on the couch as she set the tea on the coffee table.

"You really want to know me?"

"Everything"

"The night when we first met was actually the anniversary of my daughter's death. My husband was abusive and one night it got so bad that he took our daughter and he shot her and then he shot himself"

She said in tears. Tai immediately embraced her as she cried. After calming down, the two couple continued to talk and agreed to be friends first before getting into something more.

*End Of Flashback*

"You sure are a spitfire"

Tai said with a chuckle. Paige smiled as she finished her drink and stood up to wrap her arms around her husband's neck.

"I was such a mess"

"Yeah but a beautiful mess

He said with a grin wrapping his arms around her waist as he kissed her lovingly on the lips.
