What if, on that fateful day, Summer Rose never died? What if she and Dominic made it to her home where he would be raised by her and her family as a son and as a brother?

Dominic:*yawns and walks downstairs*

Summer: Oh! Good morning, Dominic!

Dominic: Huh?

Summer: Come on! The girls and I are baking cookies! You want to help?

What Dominic saw was something that he never thought he would ever have again: A happy family. On that fateful day, he was forced to grow up when he was only eight years old. Now he can finally be a kid again. Tears welled up in his eyes as he was overwhelmed by the feeling of joy in his heart.

Summer: Dominic, what's wrong?

Dominic:*sniffle* I'm...happy..Summer. Thank you.

Summer smiles and puts down the bowl she has in her arms and goes over to hug Dominic. The boy accepts the hug and the two were joined by Yang and Ruby who were more than happy to have a big brother in their lives.

Then came that day, the day where Yang found that photo of her mother and went out searching for her with Ruby inside of a little red wagon. Once their parents had found out they had left, Taiyang called Qrow to track them down. Summer went to go find Dominic but she couldn't find him anywhere in the house and she became even more worried for the safety of her children.

Once Yang reached that old barn in the photograph, she saw the piercing red eyes of the Grimm who had taken residence there. She watched as they rushed towards her and Ruby with hunger in their eyes. Too weak to move or even scream, she was about to accept her death when a figure swooped in and cut down the Grimm to ribbons.

Standing there amazed at what just happened, Yang couldn't believe what she was looking at. Her brother had followed them all the way out here and had saved them from a horrible fate. Before she could even begin to thank him, he started cursing and yelling at her.

Dominic: Rrrrh! You stupid girl!! You go off on a wild goose chase for a woman who you don't even know?! And you bring our sister along with you?! How idiotic could you possibly be?! You...You...You...

Upon realizing that his words were making Yang cry and even more scared than she already was, he immediately stops talking and goes over to hug her in his arms. Yang couldn't feel any safer than when he had his arms around her. He was her savior. Her angel.

Dominic: Please, never do this again...

Once Qrow arrived, he brought the three back home and while Summer and Taiyang were both happy their children were back home, they also scolded them for leaving. Yang for going off with her toddler sister, and Dominic for going out to find them. But they were thankful that he got to them before they could get hurt.

Qrow: Kid, how did you even get there before me? I doubt your stubby little legs can carry you that far and that fast.

Dominic looked towards Summer and took in a short breath before explaining to everyone what he was. He told them how he was the son of a demon. How even at age 12, he could take down a fully grown man with ease.

Dominic: I don't expect you to believe me, but I know that I am not going to lie to you about my heritage any longer. Summer was the only one who knew. I asked her to keep this a secret because I was scared how you'd all react to me being a monster.

Yang: You're not a monster.

Everyone looked to see Yang standing in the hallway and she walked over towards Dominic and looked him in the eye.

Yang: You're my big brother. You saved me and Ruby. I love you, Dominic.

She hugs Dominic which shocked him about how she was ignoring the fact he was an unholy being. He then looks over to his parents and uncle and sees them smiling at him and realizes something: They didn't care. None of them cared about how he was the son of a demon. These people, these humans, saw him as their own. This act of kindness showed him that he was accepted as a member of their family.

Over the years, Dominic grew to love his new family as if they were his biological one. Though he still gets sad when his birthday comes around, he still smiles when his family tries to cheer him up. They were the best thing that ever happened to him and he'd always be there to protect them. His power will become absolute. Not to protect himself, but to protect them.

Eventually, Dominic leaves home to travel abroad. He didn't attend any academy since he felt that he couldn't learn anything more than what he's already learned at home. Once Ruby and Yang got to Beacon, they wrote home about their new friends and teammates and asked if their brother had been home but received nothing about his return until one day they were called up to Ozpin's office where they were greeted by a very familiar face.

Dominic: Yo. Yang. Ruby. How are my two favorite sisters?

Dominic was tackled by his sisters and assaulted with hugs and kisses from them along with them quickly asking them where he's been and why he hasn't been writing to them.

Dominic:*laugh* Forgive me sisters, but my work needed my full attention. I promise, I'll make it up to you.

Yang: You better!

Ruby: Yeah! You can't just leave and not at least ask us how we're doing!

Dominic: Alright. I'll spend some time with you two after I'm done talking with your headmaster.

Ruby: What are you gonna talk about?

Dominic: That's a secret~ Now run along. I'll be with you both shortly.

Yang and Ruby left Dominic with Ozpin and Glynda and he watches them leave the room with a smile on his face.

Later, he was in the training room sparring with them and beats them again in hand to hand combat. He flips over Yang and she groans after having been beaten yet again by her elder brother.

Yang: Ahh! You're stupid judo isn't fair!

Dominic: It's not judo. It's CQC. You'd be better at it if you trained like I told you to. But no, I guess you're just too cool.

He chuckles and helps his sister up to her feet and she lightly punches his chin and the two share a laugh together.

Yang: I'm glad you're back, Dom.

Dominic: It's good to be back. And it's good to know that you've both made friends.

Dominic looks up to Weiss and Blake who were watching their training and he gives them a smirk while crossing his arms.

Dominic: So, I hope my sisters haven't given you too much trouble. I know they can be quite a handful!

Yang/Ruby: Hey!!

Weiss: That's putting it lightly.

Dominic:*laughs* Ah ha ha ha ha! Oh how right you are!

Yang: Who's side are you on?!

Blake: So, I'm confused. Are you their biological brother?

Dominic: No. I'm adopted. But that doesn't make me any less their brother. Just like how you being a Faunus doesn't make you any less of a person.

Blake:*gasp* How did you-!

Dominic: I have eyes. Your bow twitches every few seconds. But don't worry, we all have secrets we'd like to keep hidden from most. I won't tell a soul.

Yang: See, Blake? He's cool!

Ruby: The coolest!

Dominic: Oh please, you're going to make me blush~

The three siblings shared a laugh together and they spent the whole day together telling stories about their adventures and how much they've grown. Eventually, Dominic had to leave but said he wasn't leaving Vale and he'll write to them when he can. He said his goodbyes and left into the city where he walked until he reached a shop in a shady part of town and walked inside where a young man was sleeping at a desk with a magazine on his face and he clears his throat which wakes him up and he yawns before taking the magazine off his face.

???:*yawn* Didn't you see the sign? We're not open.

Dominic: Apologies for the intrusion. But I was so eager to see you that I didn't see the sign at the door. Dante.

Dante: So, you're alive.

Dominic: Yes.

Dante: This better not be a freaking dream.

Dominic: Thankfully, it isn't. I see you're doing well for yourself.

Dante: Yeah. Got my own place and everything.

Dominic: I can see that. It's so.....you.

Dante: Fuck you, Dom.

Dominic: I can see your vocabulary has stayed the same too.

Dante: You need something or are you just here to piss me off?

Dominic: That depends.

Dante: On what?

Dominic: How would you like to go on a job with me?

Dante: Pft! You're crazy. And I don't see a single dime on ya, so beat it!

Dominic: Something is coming, Dante. Something dark and evil. And we are the only two people who can stop it.

Dante: And why should I care?

Dominic: It involves our father.

Dante: ...........go on....

Dominic: Our fathers power, the power he had sealed away millennia ago. It's here. It's in Vale. And someone wants it. We need to get it before they do.

Dante: And do what with it? Destroy it?

Dominic: No. I'm going to use it.

Dante: To do what, exactly?

Dominic takes out a photo of his new family and Dante scoffs and rolls his eyes at the picture.

Dante: Seriously?

Dominic: I'm not going to allow them to live in a world where there are beings capable of mass destruction. I'm not gonna have my sisters be mixed in with our lives. They need to grow and be able to be free of fear. I know you probably don't care, but I do. And I'm asking you to help me. Will you?

Dante:*sigh* Whatever.

Dominic smiled at his brother and the two shake hands before hugging each other with smiles on their faces. They weren't alone anymore. Now they had each other.

Dante: So...this is what they call a heartwarming family reunion huh?

Dominic: Heh. You got that right.

The twins set out on their adventure to save the world where eventually, during the Vytal Tournament, the evil tower knows as "Temen Ni Gru" was risen from the ground and all hell was broken loose by the demon samurai Bludgeon and the human Arkham. The twins fought hard but lost their amulets after their first confrontation with Bludgeon and after that fight, Dante unlocked his latent devil power inside of him and now the twins were on equal footing in terms of power. They fought though the tower and into the depths of hell where they defeated Arkham who was then killed by his daughter, Lady and they descended further into Hell to get their fathers sword from Bludgeon.

Eventually they were thrown out into the human realm where they fought against Bludgeon for hours where Dominic was notified that Yang and Blake were in danger and Dominic pleaded with his brother to protect his sister. Dante reluctantly agreed and left Dominic to fight Bludgeon alone where the two had a chance to talk after so many years apart.

Dante came bursting through the walls of Beacon and jumped into the battle between Adam Taurus and Yang and Blake, saving them and fights him alone.

Yang: Who..who are you?

Dante: Ha! Names Dante, blondie! Dom told me a lot about you!

Yang: You know my brother?

Dante: Yeah! He's my brother too! Woohoo!!

Adam: Stand still you ingratiate!!

Dante seemed to be toying with Adam. Like he wasn't even a threat to him at all. But that comes with the perks of being a half demon.

Back in the city, Dominic and Bludgeon were fighting it out as hard as they could for the sword, Force Edge, while spouting their own ideals to the other about power and how it should be used.

Dominic: Raah!!! This power wasn't meant to hurt! It was meant to protect!

Bludgeon: You are a fool! This power was never meant to be used by a noble heart! This power is from demonic descent! It was never yours to begin with! I'll use it to bring back chaos into the world! Back to the way it once was when your father was apart of something greater than these weaklings! When he never cared for their well being!

Dominic: He always cared!! He was a warrior. A warrior who believed in honor! You...You don't believe in anything!!

Dominic grabbed the sword while Bludgeon still had his hand wrapped right around its hilt and their two energies begin clashing against one another.

Bludgeon: You're not worthy to wield this power! You're a hypocrite! You're very existence contradicts your own words!! The humans will never revere you as a god! They'll only see you as a monster!

Dominic:*grunt* You think I haven't realized that yet?! I don't care! I won't stop until they're all safe! I prove it to my father! I'm ready to do whatever I have to! I DON'T CARE WHAT HAPPENS TO ME!!!

Dominic's power began to overwhelm Bludgeon and he was thrown away by the force of it and was sent into a building where he struggled to stand but he just sat and watched as Dominic struggled to control the power of his father and laugh as it seemed like he would be consumed by its influence. But he was shocked when Dominic screamed and lifted the sword high above his head and a beam of blue light fired from the sword into the sky, grabbing everyone's attention.

Dominic: Father....You do see me. You know that I need this power. You know that I need it...to protect them. Like you.

He pulls down the sword and looks at his reflection in it and sees himself inside of it. This power is his to command. As it was always meant to.

Dominic: This power came from dark origins. But my father used it to protect the people of this world. He saw the hood in their hearts. It opened his eyes to the possibility of being a part of something bigger than himself. The spirit of the warrior in him...has been passed down to me. And one day I'll pass it on to my own children. But now, I'm going to use this power to protect them all.

Bludgeon: GIVE THAT BACK!!!

Bludgeon flies out of the building towards Dominic with his sword out, ready to end this fight. Dominic is ready to end this once and for all.

The two fly at each other screaming at each other as they get closer and closer to each other.

Dominic Vergil Sparda/Rose. Once thought to be alone in this world, now raised as a son by another. He will never forget the kindness they showed him. He will make sure that his family, and everyone around them, lives in peace. He will be their angel. A protector.

I've got a mission! And anyone who gets in my way, is gonna be sorry!
