Sirens go off with everyone on high alert. The Tower was in disarray as people bump into each other and Guardians get prepared for what seems like another war.

Wren: Okay! I need you, you and you to secure a transmat zone in the EDZ and get Devrim and his people on the comms! Ana, what's the status in the Cosmodrome?

Andromeda was taking cover behind a rusted plane with Fallen shooting at her position. She hops up and snipes a Dreg in the chest and ducks back down under cover

Andromeda: The Fallen ambushed us on the way to the rendezvous! No one else is here!

Wren: Well where's Shaw!?

Andromeda: He's fighting his own battles against the Hive! Fuck! Grenade out!!

Andromeda tosses a grenade over the plane and hears it explode which kills a few of the advancing space pirates

Wren: Argh! You! Get a squad to these coordinates and help out down there!

Jäger-4: Wren. Rebecca and I are entering the Reef. We will go radio silent once we enter. We'll report back if we can. Skolas isn't getting away. Nor will he hurt anyone again.

Wren: Good luck Jäger. Keep your eyes up.

Jäger-4: Eyes up to you too guardian.

Wren:*sighs* We're already far stretched as it is. And now this? This day just keeps getting worse and worse. I hope Dak is doing okay on the moon.

The moon was visible during the late afternoon as Wren gazes up at it for a minute

Wren: Light knows what horrors happened there before my time.

Citizen: INCOMING!!!

A barrage of rockets were shot at the Tower and destroyed much of the common area. Ships flew over the Tower making their way into the last city

On the moon, colonists who were there before the universe collapsed in on itself were being rounded up in a circle by the Hive an unusual tactic considering how the Hive act when facing a foe.

A knight raised his hand as Acolytes aimed their weapons at the colonists who cowered and started begging for their lives. He threw his hand down and the Acolytes open fired but as the knight gave the order, a ship flew overhead and dropped something off. Someone. A purple dome was formed around the colonists that shielded them from the energy blasts of the Acolytes weapons.

The Hive growled and screeched at the dome which meant that Guardians were now on the moon. A guardian jumped over a large rock and fired a rocket from a shoulder mounted missile launcher that makes impact in between the group of Hive which kills some of them. The shell shocked Hive manage to get up but the ringing in their ears distracted them from a group of guardians that snuck up on them and gunned them down

A Titan smashes the head of the knight that lead the group under her boot. The colonists were still in shock at what had happened just then but they didn't have time to question anything as the guardians quickly took defensive positions. The one who saved them stood up and dispelled the bubble as a drop ship landed behind them and opened the cargo doors with Dak inside as well as other guardians

Dak: This ship will get you all to safety!! Enter quickly! No one gets left  behind!!

The colonists pile into the ship quickly as more Hive show up. One colonists falls on the floor as a Thrall grabs her leg. She kicks it's head trying to get it to let go of her. Dak grabs it by the arm and throws it into orbit. He extends a hand to the colonist, smiling under his helmet even though he was a robot with no human skin to form a smile

Dak: Stand my friend. Today is not the day to die. Especially not here.

Colonists: Who are you?

Dak: Ah. A question that can be answered later. Now go!

Dak grabs his rifle from his back and charges into battle with an explosion going off where the other guardians were.

The elder Titan makes his way to his allies who were defending the extraction zone with their lives

Dak: A strange day indeed huh comrade?

Hunter: Yeah I'll say! Hey, how come we weren't brought back to life? I mean..like without the light? Mortal.

Dak: I believe we were an exception considering we are technically alive. Maybe the gods smile upon us.

Through the dust, more Hive come out in greater numbers. The ground under them shook as something big was approaching towards them

Warlock: An ogre?

Titan: No...it sounds bigger.

A wave of energy tears through the terrain and blasts through some guardians. Screams were heard as more dust was being kicked up from the battle. Only the glowing green eyes of the Hive could be seen through the dust.. especially a set that stood over the rest.

A sword as big as a bus struck down a fleeing guardian. Their light being destroyed with them.

Dak's hand clenched up and it begun burning with electricity. He knew that sword. He knew who it belongs to.

Through the dust, a figure begins to come into view who with one swipe of his sword, clears the area of dust and shows himself for all to see. The return of the one who gave the last city their greatest failure. Slayer of a thousand guardians. Wielder of the sword Darkest Edge.

Crota, Son of Oryx

Dak saw red in his optics as he saw Crota kill another guardian. He threw away his gun and sprinted at the ascendant Hive in a blind rage screaming his name.

Dak: CROTAAAAA!!!!!

The son of Oryx heard his screams and saw Dak sprinting towards him. It has been ages since they last met, but Crota even in death knew of Dak and his power. His blade would surely feast on his light.

Crota brought his blade down on Dak but the Titan blocked it with a shield made from void light

Crota swung his sword again at Dak but the guardian parried it and threw his shield at the Hive God hitting him in the jaw and knocking him back a few steps

Crota:*growl* It had been many a year but we have met again Titan.

Dak stopped his attack and listened to Crota monologue

Crota: Yes, I remember your Light guardian. You were there when I laid waste to your pitiful army and now I am here to humiliate you yet again. After all this time you still cannot win!

Crota slams his sword on Dak's shield but the Titan would not kneel nor would he give up. He will stand tall. Unbreakable. Unmovable. Unstoppable.

Back at the last city, the battle raged on worse at the home of the last remnants of humanity.

Guardian and citizens picked up arms and fought back against their attackers in defending their home.

Titan: THEY'VE BROKEN THROUGH THE FRONT LINES!!

Hunter: They're jamming communications! I've lost contact with the Vanguard!

Felwinter: There's too many of them!!

A laser bolt pierced through the undead iron lords shoulder and knocks him to the ground

Yang: Felwinter's down!!

Another bolt struck Yang in the chest sending her flying back

Wren comes flying in throwing flaming gashes of fire into the frontline of the enemy. He dodged a laser and slices a combatant in two.

Wren: Where's air support?!

Warlock: Argh!! Comms are dead and we can't get ahold of the vanguard! We're up shits creek! And I got a rock in my boot that really hurts!!

Wren: Damn! What about sparrows! Anyone fast enough to relay a message!?

Ruby: I am!!

Wren: Then I need you to go as fast as you can up the tower to get comms back so we can get air support! Can I count on you!

Ruby:*salutes* Yes sir!!

Wren: Go!

Ruby takes off through the side streets as fast as she could. She stops in her tracks as a tank rolls up beside her and begins to aim at her. Suddenly a Titan drops down and smashed the tank into a giant crushed can

Ruby continues running through the battlefield dodging laser fire as the city around her burns.

A missile hits the ground near her and sends her tumbling across the floor. Her ears rung and her head felt like it was knocked loose. Her helmet was damaged and she took it off. A laser rifle was pointed at her head and would have ended her if not for arrows piercing her attackers and creating a defensive wall of void suppression energy

Djin: I don't think so creeps!

Ruby: Thank you!

Djin: Just go kid we'll hold them off!

More guardians and citizens rush in gun blazing. This war has just begun. Another fight of good versus evil. But can the Last City pull back from yet another war like this one? Who is attacking them? Will any allies come to help them? Will that warlock get the rock out of his boot?
