The batch of New Lights sat at the ramen bar in the Tower panting profusely after the run they were forced to do by their "trainer" Wren.

Luz: Does anyone feel like...dying? Again?

All:*raise their hands*

Blake: I think I threw up four times over there..

Yang: I thought losing an arm was bad but that was nothing compared to what we just went through!

Catra: I'm glad he didn't make us do it on the moon. I heard it was haunted!

Amity: How can a moon be haunted!

Anne/Ruby: Moon ghosts!!

Weiss: There's no such thing as Moon ghosts you dolts! Gosh!

Sasha: I'd have to agree with the Ice Queen here on that.

Weiss: Thank you. Hey wait a minute-!

Ruby: Shhh! Look! TV!

Weiss: Who cares!

Adora: I think when you see who's fighting you will.

Weiss looks up at the screen and sees Wren in a crucible 1v1 match with a Titan they don't recognize

Luz: It's him!

Marcy: And he's fighting someone!

Yang: I hope that jerk loses!

Anne: I hope he makes him run around..around...th-the planet! Yeah!!

Sasha: The planet?

Anne: It was all I could think of in a split second. Now shush and watch him get his butt whooped.

Wren and the Titan stood across from each other. Not saying a single word not making a move. Just silence and the sound of nature's call in the wind.

Wren: Well Dak, are you ready to add another tally to you loss record against me?

The Titan laughs at Wren's claim and wipes a metaphorical tear from his helmet

Dak: I think I will add a win to my name my friend. Question is: how long will you last against me now that our light has grown recently?

Wren: I guess we'll just have to see.

Putting his gun away, Wren takes out a large knife from his back and walks around the circumference of the arena while spinning the blade in his hand

Wren: You know Dak, I've learned many things over the years we've spent together. You taught me how to throw a punch hard enough to knock the wind out of Ghaul. You taught me to use the Sentinel Shield. But Andromeda taught me much much more.

Dak: She cares for your well being and taught you those things so you would survive in this world guardian.

Wren: Yes. Yes she did. You see my skills with a sword in unmatched. Even Osiris states my use of Double Dawnblade is unique. But there's one thing that always makes me feel comfortable. At home.

Dak: That is..?

Wren: Slashers!

Wren assaults Dak with a flurry of quick stabs and jabs with his knife but the thick armor on Daks arms and his quick blocks made it almost impossible to get a hit on him

Dak catches the knife in his hand getting an iron grip on it

Dak: Cute toy...but mine..!

Dak's hand begins to burn bright with a solar flame and it forms into a hammer that shines like a solar flare

Dak: Is bigger!!

Dak uppercuts Wren with the hammer which sent the warlock flying across the arena with a broken jaw and helmet

Dak: Another lesson you fail to learn. Don't get so cocky comrade.

Wren:*groan* I get the message...ow...

The guardian stood up and took off his helmet sighing at it's damaged state and tosses it to the side

Wren: Great. I had very good stats on that one too.

Dak: You will get another. After this beating you will receive.

Wren: I think you should remember your own words Dak. Because I'm just getting started~

Smirking, Wren begins to float into the air raising both hands above his head then bringing them into himself and exploding in a purple light

Wren: Let's dance!

Dak jumps away from Wren as he releases a burst of void energy from his body as he floats towards him. He throws a grenade in hopes to slow him down but it was disintegrated in another explosion

Wren: You can't hurt me with those Dak! I'm adept with Nova Warp and you know it!

Dak: I do! Which is why I am waiting..

Wren flew at Dak charging up a powerful blast but as he reached him, the light around him suddenly died.

Wren: Huh!

Dak shouts and clotheslines Wren with his hammer making him tumble through the air and hit a small concrete block

Yang: Yeah!! That's what you get! That's what you get!

Blake: That looked rough.

Luz: I hope he's alright.

Wren: How do I keep forgetting that!

Dak: You overestimated yourself again Wren. Shame on you.

Wren: I get it! I won't make the same mistake twice.

Amity: Suuure

Weiss: That's what they always say.

Wren took a deep breath and thrusts his hands forward, grunting as purple particles circle around him and converge in his hands creating a small purple sphere

Wren: Hrrrr!!

Dak shouts and leaps into the air, his body radiating with fire and immense heat raising his mighty hammer of Sol high above his head

Dak: HRRAAAAA!!

Wren:*smirk* Heh.

In a quick flash, the blue skinned warlock was gone and appeared above his comrade holding a large purple orb above his head with one hand

Wren: AAAAHH!!!

In a clash of solar and void, one a single ghost remains floating above a field of ash and dust.

Wren:*pant* That was fun....so next Tuesday after reset?

After a couple of seconds, Dak was revived by his ghost and nodded and the two friends begun laughing and playfully punching each other as they walked away

Weiss:*looks at her hand* Huh...neat.

Luz: Well that was...so cool!! I didn't even know he could teleport!

Amity: Thank God he didn't make us do combat training against him!

Catra: I don't think he knows the concept of mercy.

Blake: Considering what he did to his friend, you're probably right.

Sasha: It doesn't matter. If he can get that strong then so can we! Heck! We can grow even stronger than him!

Marcy: Just like the tagline! Become legend.

???:*hums* You gals got spunk. We need that in these times.

Everyone turns around seeing a red clad hunter with her hands on her hips. Her face covered by her hood

???: I'm Andromeda and I'm one of your trainers new lights.

Ruby: Hi! I'm Ruby!

Andromeda: Hahaha! You remind me of myself when I woke up for the first time.

Amity: Are you gonna be a dick like your friend?

Andromeda: Wren? Oh he's harmless! He's actually a real sweetie pie when you get to know him.

Sasha: I doubt that.

Andromeda: Well you'll just have to wait to see. Now guardians..

Lifting her good off her head and fixing her hair, Andromeda smiles at the new lights

Andromeda: Who's ready to become a legend?

Ruby:*faints*

Andromeda: Hehe~ I knew I was drop dead gorgeous~
