Happy Home Society was a home to a CID cop, Vikrant Singhal. He was now the senior inspector in the team. He owned a lavish flat in the society. He was happy with his wife, Ruhana and daughter, Rashi. Many years had passed by since they were together and Rashi was now eighteen years old. Vikrant was protective for her since beginning, and now was more protective for his only daughter.

It was night, and the senior inspector glanced into his daughter's room. She was sleeping peacefully. He kissed on her head and moved to his room and saw his wife sitting on the bed.

"Ho gayi checking beti pe? " She asked.

"Haan, ab uski mumma ki baari hai. " he winked at her.

"Grow up Viky! Rashi badi ho gayi hai. Aise uske room mein jhankna achi baat nahi hai. " Ruhana spoke.

Vikrant smiled...

"Chahe kitni badi ho jaye, mere liye toh meri choti si gudiya hi rahegi." he smiled looking at Ruhana.

"Jaanti hoon. Tumhe pata hai Bhaiya bhi yahi kehte they. Par ab bolne lage ki main sach mein bahut badi ho gayi hoon. "she said as she was lost in the past.

He sat beside her and held her hands...

"Sach hi kehta hain Sachin. Arsa ho gaya tumhe waise dekhe jaise tum thi. Bees saalon mein bahut badal gayi ho. Meri jungli billi bahut shant ho gayi hain. " he said.

She smiled.. " Waqt bhi toh badal gaya na Viky. Ab hum bache nahi rahe. " she said.

"Par khud ko badalne ki wajah? " he asked.

She kept her head on his shoulder..

"Aaj jo main hun, tumhari wajah se hun Viky. Pata nahi, agar tum na hote, toh shayad main bhi na hoti. Aur main nahi chahti hamari Rashi ko aisa kuch jhelna pade. " shd spoke.

He embraced her in his arms. He knew her pain, and always tried to comfort her. They slept with all the thoughts.

Next Morning, Ruhana woke up at a voice. She opened the door and saw Rashi at the door.

"I got coffee for you two! " Rashi chuckled and entered inside the room.

"Aaj itni jaldi kyun uth gayi? " Ruhana asked.

" Kyunki aaj ka din bahut special hai. " Rashi answered, as she made her mother sit.

Ruhana smiled.. " kya hai aaj? " she asked.

"Kuch special hai mumma! " she said.

Ruhana smiled. She was talking about her and Vikrant's wedding anniversary.

"mujhe pata hai aaj kya hai. Aur tumhare papa hame treat dene wale hain, hain na Vikrant? " she said to her husband who turned sleepily and glanced at both his girls.

Rashi chuckled..."Mujhe toh abhi treat chahiye. " she said.

"Kisliye beta!? " he asked, sitting on the bed.

" umm! Because you two define Love for me. " she said.

Vikrant and Ruhana glanced at each other, but was cut by Rashi..

"Ek dusre ko mat dekho. Nahi toh pyar ho jayega. " she chuckled, teasing them.

"Pyar toh ho gaya na beta. Nahi toh tumhari mumma yahan na hoti. " vikrant spoke.

"Matlab? " she grinned at them.

"Matlab ye ki Love doesn't mean for how long a person is with you, it's all about in what situations, the person stands by you. Samjhi! " Ruhana said.

Rashi nodded her head.. "Lekin how realisation came to you Mumma? " she asked.

Ruhana raised her eyebrows at her... "Tu yeh sab kyun puch rahi hai? " she asked.

"aaj aap dono ka valentines day hai na. Soch rahi hun sabko ek real love story suna dun, mere real life Romeo Juliet ki love story. " Rashi said while hugging her.

"good thought bche! " Vikrant said.

"See Daddy agrees. Now tell me. " Rashi said.

Ruhana sipped her coffee, losing into the past. Her past was bitter, where she loved Vineet, but a mistake from his side broke her. It was all because of him that she lost her trust on relationships. It was then, when Vikrant entered in her life.

No, he wasn't a newcomer, but a friend who came in the right time to support her. He always had her back, and she knew she could trust him.

He was ready to accept her with all her flaws and truly loved her. She was much hurt that she took time to understand his worth. When she was on the verge of loosing him it was then she realised his love,and accepted him.

Her trance was broken by Rashi..

"bolo na mumma! " she said but noticed tears on her face..

"Aap ro rahi ho? Kya hua? " she asked.

Ruhana wiped them off... "Bas kuch yaad aa gaya tha beta. " she said.

"okay tell me how'd you realise your love for papa. " she asked.

Ruhana smiled...

" Love is difficult to find. And sometimes it is in front of us, but we don't realise it. Aisa hi kuch mere sath bhi hua" she said.

"You knew papa already?" she asked.

"best friends! Hum best friends they. But CID training ke baad, uska transfer Mumbai ho gaya aur mera bangalore. Kabhi nahi mile. Jab mile, toh haalaat badal chuke they. " Vikrant spoke.

"And I troubled you, hai na? "Ruhana asked while looking at him.

He nodded negatively..

"Nope! Dost pareshaniyon se pareshan nahi karte. Aise karte hain jaise main kar raha hun tumhe 20 saal se. " Vikrant said.

Rashi was admiring them..

"How cute! Kaash mujhe bhi aisa koi mil jaye! " She spoke.

Ruhana and Vikrant smiled hearing her.. "Tere liye toh main best cheezein dhundhunga" Vikrant said.

"pyar mein sirf kehna kaafi nahi hota, nibhana bhi padta hai. Love is not about kisses or hugs, it's about how you know each other, and how you help each other to grow. " Ruhana said.

"Koi bandishen lagaye toh wo pyar nahi hota. Pyar Mein conditions nahi hoti, sirf dil hota hai. " Vikrant spoke.

"Aur dosti bhi honi chahiye. Friendship is the key for every relationship. " Ruhana said tapping Rashi's cheek.

"wow that's so sweet. Aap dono toh perfectly complement karte ho ek dusre ko. You taught me something so important. I love you two." Rashi chuckled.

"tujhe bada maza aa raha hai. Anything on your mind? " Ruhana asked.

Rashi giggled.. " You'll know soon. Acha main Saransh bhaiya se milne ja rahi hun. See you soon. " she said and left the place.

Ruhana watched her go. Vikrant tapped her shoulders..

"Tum bilkul aisi hi hua karti thi. History is repeating itself. " he said.

"Acha hai na, rashi ke sath main khud ko dobara jee rahi hun. " she said.

"And i should thank you for coming into my life. " he said.

She turned to him..

"I owe you my life Mister Singhal. " she said.

"I love you. Happy Anniversary" he said kissing her head.

She smiled and wished him back. They freshened up, and being their holiday, they sat up talking about past, their life,and their daughter Rashi. The day passed in a blur, when Sachin called Vikrant to reach hotel tamarind.

They reached the hotel and the manager guided them to the hall.

They looked around but found no one.

"Yahan toh koi nahi hai. Chalo bahar chale. " Ruhana said.

"Main sachin ko call karta hoon. " Vikrant said.

Ruhana nodded. He was about to call, when the lights were switched on. They were surprised to see their friends, teammates therein. A visual began playing on the screen of their pictures, family pictures, and they could hear and see the things they told to Rashi in the morning. It was a sweet surprise, and it was all arranged by Rashi and Saransh. They seemed indeed happy,with a loving family and their own love.
