Katie

Me and Katie MG were getting ready for the DC dinner, "Gold or Black?" She asked, holding up two sets of earrings.

"Gold, show off that Luthor power" I giggled.

I was getting my heels on when a knock came at the door. "John, I told you we would meet you downstairs when we were-" Katie MG opened the door and stopped. "Matthew?"

I froze. "Hey, is my Katie here?"

"Yea" Katie MG walked over and pointed at the door. "Your fiancé is here"

I stood up and looked at him. "Hi" I said.

"Hey! I thought I'd come down and surprise you" He walked over and kissed my cheek, "How's Comic-com been?"

"It's been great" I said, "Other than the women's panel being canceled"

"Yea, I was upset to hear about that as well" he said, "It looks like you girls are going out tonight"

"The DC dinner, followed by a DC party" I said, "Did you call or tell anyone else you were here?"

"No" he said, "Why?"

"The dinner is reserve only, since there's going to be almost a hundred of us, they probably won't let you in" I said.

"Oh, well that's fine, I can get a hotel room and we can have our own night after you get back" He smiled.

"Sounds good"

I was freaking out, as soon as Matt left, I went to Stephen and Melissa's room, I knocked and waited. David R and Manu left their room, dressed in fancy suits and discussing something. "Hey, Katie" David smiled.

"Hi" I said. "Are they in?"

"Mel said they were already in the lobby with Grant and Caity" Manu said.

"Dammit" I sighed. "I'm still getting ready, can you tell Mel to call me?"

"What's wrong?" Katie asked.

"It's just... I need her advice on something" I said. "I'll be down soon, I just need to talk to her"

"Okay, we'll tell her" David said.

I was putting the finishing touches on my hair when Melissa called. "Umm, Matt is here..."

"Yea, that's why I needed to talk to you" I said.

"Shit" She huffed, "What are you going to do?"

"I don't know. I told him he would be able to attend the dinner or party because he should've warned someone about him coming, so he's going to get a hotel room for us" I said.

"Craaaaaaap" she groaned, "I can help you in a way that may no be totally healthy"

"What?" I asked.

"I can't drink because... well, I am currently growing a child in me, but as my friend, you could be a drinking proxy..."

"And die of alcohol poisoning?" I sighed.

"Oh! I know!" She suddenly became sarcastic, "You can just stay the night with your fiancé"

"Jeez, you've gotten moody"

"I'm sorry, I am 6 months pregnant and Olivia likes to kick" she said.

"I'll spend the night Matt, but imma be honest, it's gonna be awkward" I said, "I know he knows something is going on with me"

"You'll be fine, Kate" She sighed, "Remember, you'll be hurting him more than you're hurting you"

"I'll be down in a minute"

Melissa

The hall we had rented out was huge and the large makeshift dinner table was made to make it feel like a family dinner as we would all be seated at the 'same' table.

"Hey!" Gal walked over, hugged me and than Stephen. "How are you guys?"

"Great, just trying to get through the kicking phase now" I said, rubbing my belly.

"Ah, don't worry, it'll eventually become sort of normal" She smiled, "Your guys seats are over there"

"I'll go put our jackets down" Stephen took my jacket and purse.

"Katie C's fiancé called and apologized that he didn't warn anyone he was coming, and said he wish he could come but knew he didn't have a reservation. I played along, but I'm a little confused" She said.

"You know why I asked to make sure Katie and Manu sat together?" I whispered.

"Oh my god" She whispered back. "Your trying to get them together"

"Shhh" I hushed her, "Its a long story, but everyone well eventually figure it out"

"I won't say a word" She said, "But know, not everyone gets a happily ever after like you and Stephen"
