"I can't go through with it" She sobbed, wrapping her arms around me.

"Oh, Katie" I sighed, hugging her. "I knew you were having second thoughts"

"I thought I was ready, I thought I loved Matt but..." she sobbed.

"Shh" I smoothed her hair out, hugging her.

"What do I do, Mel?" She asks.

"You have to tell Matthew, Katie" I said, "I can be there when you tell him, I don't want you to go through this alone. I'll be there for you, like you were there for me"

"Thank you, Mel... thank you"

Katie freshened up, hid behind me most of the morning, occasionally speaking up, but it was clear she had something on her mind.

"Is she okay?" Caity asked, walking beside me as we made our way out to the busses.

"She'll tell you when she wants, but it's going to be a while" I said. "If any of the guys ask, just tell them lady business"

"Alright" She said. "Grant wants to visit my family tonight, but I don't think I want to take Melinda, there's going to be alcohol, can you watch her tonight?"

"Of course" I said, "Godmother duties right?"

"You're the best Mel"
