Castiel hides backstage as he waits for everyone else to leave so he can go see his family. Someone had brought Misha from the tour bus as an attempt to make him feel better, and that definitely didn't fail. He's been sitting down with the dog for the last fifteen minutes, and by this point, even Misha is bored of the place. He lies down across his lap, and Castiel strokes his fur gently. He knows there's still a while until everyone is gone, but he'll get a text from one of his siblings when it's safe to come out.
Finally, his phone dings from inside his trench coat pocket. He's taken off his suit jacket from under it because it's so damn hot, which is around when he grabbed his phone.
Michael: You can come out now.
Castiel hands the leash off to someone to bring Misha back to the tour bus before walking out onstage again hesitantly. He's not quite sure he wants to talk to anybody right now; not after what happened earlier. He can't put it off forever, though, so he might as well go now.
Lucifer pushes himself up on the stage and runs over to his brother, pulling something out from behind his back. "Happy concert day!"
Castiel chuckles and takes it. At this point, he would have been surprised if he didn't get a copy of the Bee Movie from him after a concert. Castiel shakes his head at his brother.
"Only you, Lucifer. Only you."
"Well obviously," Lucifer replies. "You cat have two people like me. The world can only contain so much awesomeness until there's a rip in space and time."
"And that's exactly why you can't have a kid," Castiel tells him.
"Are you good?" Samandriel asks him.
"Yeah, I'm fine," he lies. He's not on the verge of tears anymore, at least, which is nice.
"That was certainly an interesting first concert," Claire tells him.
"Yeah, sorry..." he says awkwardly.
"Nah, it's cool. I'll just come back tomorrow."
"Hey, me too!" Lucifer says with a grin, and the two share a high five. "Mine's for YouTube, because I want everyone to know what they're missing out on."
"Only a little bit, though," Castiel reminds him. "Not the whole concert."
"I know, I know," Lucifer assures him. "And not the unreleased songs, either."
"But I videoed your time filler, so you could post that," Samandriel suggests.
"No, I think I'll try not to draw attention to that."
"Something tells me just about everyone who will see your video will know what happened anyway." Castiel tells him. "You might as well."
Lucifer shakes his head stubbornly. "Nope. I refuse to fan that fire."
Castiel raises an eyebrow. Why does he care? Everyone's going to know anyway. He can't help but feel kind of grateful, though. Lucifer's a gift to this earth, that's for sure.
~~
"Oh my god, he's so cute!" Lucifer squeals.
Castiel chuckles as he watches Lucifer crouch down to play with Misha. They're on his tour bus just after the concert. Everyone else has gone home, but Lucifer really wanted to meet the dog, and who is Castiel to tell him no to that?
"I wish I took you up on keeping him," Lucifer tells him. "He's so sweet."
Misha licks his face, and he laughs.
"Unfortunately for you, he's not up for grabs anymore," Castiel tells him.
"Aw, dammit," Lucifer replies. "If you change your mind, I'll take him. He's looking okay enough now that Samandriel would probably be able to handle looking at him."
"I could bring him by the house on Monday, when I finally have time," Castiel suggests.
"Do it!" Lucifer says excitedly. "I want a pupper! Or tomorrow so he's not lonely during your concert. Claire and I will be here, but everyone else is staying home, so they can keep him company.
"Sure, but I'm taking him home every night."
"Oh my god, does he snuggle?" Lucifer asks excitedly.
Castiel chuckles. "Oh yeah. He's my snuggle buddy."
Lucifer squeals excitedly and flails around on the floor. "I love him!"
Castiel just laughs. Everyone loves Misha. Everyone.

"Honey, I'm home!" Castiel calls out the next morning, loud enough for people to hear if they're awake without waking the sleeping people up.
Misha scratches his ear, his collar rattling loudly. That must be what gets Michael's attention, because he comes over to check out what's going on. He raises an eyebrow at the dog.
"Well," he says after a pause. "I wasn't expecting that."
"You're stuck with him 'til tonight," Castiel tells him. "I gotta go. Catch you later. Bye!" He quickly unclips the leash, drops the box with the food, treats, bowls, poop bags, and instructions, and walks out the door without waiting for a response, because why would he ask what Michael wants?

Castiel checks Twitter while waiting for the concert to start. He notices the band that's opening for him — The Four Horsemen — walking by every now and then to set things up. He's grown to like those guys. His favorite is the lead singer, Julian, who goes by Death onstage. He's actually a pretty chill guy.
He turns his attention back to Twitter. He checks what's trending, as always, because it's his source of news. When he sees "Castiel Novak" at number 2, he knows there's a problem. He always starts from 20 going up, so that's what he does. Number 7 is #WeLoveCastiel, which he checks out briefly. It's just a lot of people sympathizing with him for that concert last night. He likes a few tweets as a thank you.
Looking at "Castiel Novak" is less fun. It's mostly positive because most are also with the hashtag, but some people are calling him out on it.
"Castiel Novak is a fucking pansy, oh my god."
"Seriously? Castiel Novak has already set the bar for himself pretty low, but this is bad, even for him."
"Castiel Novak is such a child omg just stop it."
Of course, these are scattered throughout positive tweets, but the last one really gets to him. Instead of ignoring the issue, he quotes this last one.
"You know what? Yes, I am a child. I'm only 21 years old. You can't expect me to be perfect."
Castiel skims through other tweets about him for a minute or so, then looks at the responses.
The top reply reads, "It sucks that he gets so much hate. He doesn't deserve that. Nobody's perfect. Perfect's boring." Castiel likes the tweet, then continues.
"Y'all gotta chill tf out. It's pretty clear something's up with him lately, and hating him isn't helping." Castiel likes this tweet as well.
"I'm sorry you have to put up with this. Just remember that we still love you, no matter what." Castiel likes this tweet too.
Would you look at that? Sometimes, Twitter has the potential to be really nice, especially when you need it most
