It was midnight. Marvin knew this. He sat on the steps, wearing a t-shirt and pants. The cold bitter air biting and nipping at his exposed skin. His mind like an ocean, new waves of ideas and thoughts hitting shore every now and again. He was figuratively on a boat, far from land, deep in thought. He sighed slightly, able to see his breath in the air. He looked at the sky, the stars visible even through the dim street lights.
     Whizzer had awaken, noticing right away that Marvin was no where to be seen. He panicked at first, then calmed down, knowing what was up. He got up, ignoring the sudden light headedness. He leaned against the wall for a second, proceeding after. He made it to the door, finding it unlocked.
     Marvin jumped slightly, falling out of his thoughts at the sound of the door opening. He turned back to see Whizzer standing there. "Oh- hey Whiz." He looked back to the sky. Whizzer sat down next to him, putting an arm around his shoulder. "Hey-" Whizzer yawned, "Hey Marv.." Whizzer sounded tired, which Marvin found adorable. "What are you doing up,,?" Marvin asked lowly to the half asleep Whizzer who smiled sleepily. "I could ask the same of you, Whizzer." He had replied. Marvin turned to look at Whizzer, who looked back. "I love you, Marv.." He yawned once more, more awake than before. "I love you too, Whizz". Marvin leaned over to Whizzer, placing a gentle kiss against his cheek.
    They sat there for a few minutes more, holding each other close before they went back inside to their shared bed. They soon fell back asleep after another kiss.
