( flashbacks will be in italics )
It was finally, almost here, Chad and Peyton's big day. It was only now four days away and of course last minute prepping began. There was really one last thing that needed to be done but had been kind of delayed because the sudden change of date for the wedding.
Brooke had been in charge of flowers. She kind of forgot about that until Alex reminded her a few days ago. So she's finally getting around to call said flower company.
"No, no, no! Listen, I need the flowers before the wedding day, not day of!" Brooke screamed into her cellphone as she was sat at the dining table. She then got up and started pacing around, "Ok. What time on the day of the wedding?" She paused for a second, "Yeah, morning sounds good. Thank you." And with that, Brooke hung up, letting an angry grunt escape her mouth.
"Feel better?" Julian walked into the living room. He heard everything.
Brooke turned to him, "Letting my anger out? Or the flowers arriving the morning of the wedding?"
"Both?" He questioned with a squint of his eyes.
"Yes." She plopped on the couch.
Julian had just made his way to the kitchen, making him some coffee or tea. Whatever he preferred that morning. "So, how is Peyton and Chad doing with the whole . . . ?" He trailed off, hoping Brooke would get the question.
Still seated on the couch, Brooke turned to him. "They're ok. It's difficult and not just for them, but for anyone else who is close to Peyton."
"One of them being you." He was leaning on the counter with his arms crossed over his chest.
Brooke slowly nodded, mumbling softly. "Yeah."

Logan was making breakfast as she always did the mornings before she headed to the school. She was quickly scrambling eggs as the pancakes baked next to her. She didn't hear footsteps approaching the kitchen, until thy person announced themselves.
"Morning, love." Ashely sat on the stool that was attached to the kitchen island.
"Good morning." Logan was turning off the stove. Then walked to the cabinets to grab two plates.
Ashely was a bit nervous, just a little bit. A couple of weeks ago she found out Rachel would be at the wedding and well she hasn't told Logan yet, until now. The blonde took a sharp breath in as Logan fixed their plates.
"Logan, could we talk for a second? I know you have work but this'll just be a second." Ashely spoke softly.
Logan turned around slightly and leaned on the counter behind her as she looked at Ashely waiting for her to began.
"I thought I should tell you that Rachel is coming to the wedding on behalf of Chad." She finally got off her chest.
Logan walked a few steps ahead of her, "Two questions. Are you ok? Should i be worried?"
"Yeah, I'm good. She's there for Chad. They've always been close." Ashely reached for Logan's hand, "Trust me when I say you have nothing to worry about."
Logan quickly kissed Ashely's hand before turning back to fixing the plates.
Ashely felt relieved that the conversation went so well but she still felt weird about it. Sure she said she was good, but it's Rachel. She spent a majority of her life loving her and that doesn't just go away. She will always love Rachel, she knows that. It's not like the divorce was messy, it was more heartbreaking but not necessarily messy.
So maybe Logan did have something to worry about?

While everyone was trying to fix their last minute life problems, Teressa and Lucas were still snuggled up in bed. She had slept over for the first time and Lucas couldn't be happier. He knew this was going to be good.
After Peyton he gave himself a break from dating or any romantic relationship but when he bumped into Teressa, it just felt right. Almost as if she was waiting for him to let go of Peyton so she could walk into his life. At least that's how he likes to think of it. It was nice finally dating someone who wasn't tethered to your past and he knew Ashely would feel the exact same way.
There was still silence amongst the adults, a comfortable silence. Lucas was thinking about whatever and well Teressa was thinking of Chad and Peyton. After learning the news, that's all she could think about. She was worried . . concerned and not just because she's a doctor but because she was their friend. I guess she wanted to be there for them even if it was still a bit weird for Lucas.
"I think I'm going to cook or bake." Teressa sat up.
"Breakfast?" Lucas was still lying down on the pillow.
"I don't know." Teressa shook her head, just something for Peyton and Chad."
Lucas nodded understandingly before sitting up, "I'll help."
Those words kind of shocked Teressa and even Lucas himself. He wasn't sure if it was because of the situation or maybe he's tired of always fighting with Chad.
Eventually Teressa and Lucas both got out of bed, freshened up and made their way to the kitchen to make something brunch related. Lucas is many things but cooking isn't one of them, so he was grateful to have Teressa there.
Time gradually passed and well they were done. Teressa, with the help of Lucas, made a brunch casserole. On their way out the door, Lucas grabbed the keys to his car and Teressa's purse. They both made their way to the car then began to drive to Chad and Peyton's place.
It was only a fifteen minute drive. Not too far. Once they arrived. They both got out the car and headed to the front door. Teressa knocked on it while Lucas held the casserole. After about a moment, the door finally opened.
"Well this is unexpected." Peyton lightly chuckled with Chad standing behind her.
Teressa let out a light chuckle as well before grabbing the food from Lucas and passing it to Peyton. "This is a brunch casserole. Lucas and I made it for you guys. Thought you might be hungry."
Peyton took it, "Thanks. Smells so good. Would you guys like to join us?"
"We don't want to intrude." Lucas spoke finally.
"We insist. Besides you guys can try Peyton's cookies." Chad smiled.
"She made cookie?" Lucas couldn't believe it. She's made cookies for him before but they weren't that great.
Chad nodded, "Yeah and they're actually not that bad."
Teressa and Lucas made their way into the house as Peyton began to walk to the kitchen. Chad shut the door behind the two and well that's where they're day started.
It was kind of nice. Teressa and peyton getting along. Lucas and Chad getting along. . . sort of. It was nice, as for now it was.
