Brooke was in the kitchen when she heard her phone ring from the living room. She quickly dried her hands from it being wet and rushed over to her phone. As she picked it up from the coffee table, she read the caller ID and it was Peyton. Her eyes widen. She was a bit surprised, but answered anyway.

"B Davis! Long time, no talk." Peyton spoke after Brooke answered.

"Peyton..." Brooke was stunned, hearing her bestfriend's voice again was like a breath of fresh air. "It's been awhile. How are you?"

"Busy. You know with the label. Actually, that's why I called. Aside from catching up." Peyton was smiling from ear to ear.

"Oh. Is everything ok?" She had put the speaker on and set her phone down to continue to make dinner.

There was a few moments of silence and a sigh of frustration before peyton began to speak, "The label could close. I don't have enough money." Peyton felt some guilt for asking Brooke so abruptly. They haven't spoken for a while and she just doesn't want Brooke to think that this was the only reason for her call which she thought at first was, but then when she heard Brooke's voice, she genuinely missed her.

"Oh my god. I'm so sorry Peyton. I wish there was something I could do." Brooke saw Chad walk into the kitchen from the bedroom. She placed her finger over her lips to signal him to keep quiet.

Peyton was a bit hesitant at first, "Actually there is..." Brooke use to notice every little thing, even if they were on the phone, but this time was different. Brooke didn't notice, she didn't notice anything and Peyton didn't either. "I was hoping you can sponsor it."

Brooke had a shocked expression on, "Wow. Yeah, Peyton. Of course. I'll take the next flight." Chad heard and immediately turned in her direction.

"Thanks, Brooke. See you soon." And with that, the call ended.

It was now 5am and Brooke was trying to shake Chad awake. After a minute or so, she quit and just went to the bathroom. She decided to take a shower real quick, since their flight is at noon. By the time she got out the shower, Chad was finally fluttering his eyes open. She had her towel wrapped around her when she walked out the bathroom and saw him.

"So we're really going?" He had a groggy voice, "Do you think it's a good idea?" He turned his head towards her.

Brooke made her way to the closet and left the door open, "She's my friend who needs my help. And well, if she asks— we'll- we'll tell her the truth." She was looking for an outfit to wear.

"Yeah, ok." He got out the bed and started to head to the bathroom. He approached the bathroom door and turned around, "Hey, Brooke..." She turned to him, "I love you." He finished.

Brooke didn't say anything in that moment. She was blindsided. They've been dating for over a year and she thought she would never hear those words cause she thought he was still hung up on Peyton, but guess not.

After a moment for waiting if she would say it back, he turned the knob and walked in the bathroom then closing the door behind him.

Peyton left her bedroom, heading downstairs to start the morning with a fresh cup of coffee. When she got to the kitchen, she saw Nathan making what it looked like from her view, soup.

"Why are you eating soup at nine in the morning?" Peyton ask, walking past him to the coffee machine.

"Cause there's no more pancakes." He shrugged.

Peyton poured coffee in a cup that she got out first, then turned to Nathan, "That's not a good answer. Maybe you're just weird." She turned back around to place the coffee back. She then went to the refrigerator and got out the creamer.

"Well it's nutritious, sooo." Nathan last spoke before leaving the kitchen with his bowl of soup in hand.

Peyton finished up making her coffee, then made her way back upstairs. She first went to take a shower, then got dressed. Only about an hour and a half later, she was out the door heading to the studio. Only a few more hours till Brooke landed and Chad, but Peyton didn't know Chad was coming as well.

The last time she saw him, she remembers like it was only yesterday.

It was the day peyton was leaving to LA with Brooke. Peyton and Chad were arguing about him wanting her to stay. Chad wanted her to be happy, yes. But when it came to their relationship, he was selfish about it and he was ok with that. She didn't know, but she was chad's first love. Her being friends with Lucas didn't really help either. Lucas was her first love. I guess you can say, he probably was jealous.

Chad was a bit hesitant of going back to Tree Hill. Once he left, he never returned. After Peyton left, so did he. He didn't go to LA at first, he went to New York, then after a year or two he went to LA. Even though he still blames Peyton of how they ended, he still feels bad about not telling her about him and Brooke. He can see that Brooke is nervous as well.

It was only an hour left from landing. Brooke hadn't said it back yet and that was scaring Chad but he wasn't gonna force her if she didn't feel the same. He sat by the window on the plane with his earbuds in. He was listening to Teach Me How To Love by Shawn Mendes. That was him and Brooke's song. That was the song that they hooked up to the first time. They agreed to take things slow, so that's what was happening.

Brooke reached for Chad's hand and intertwined their fingers together. Chad saw and pulled one of his earbuds out. Brooke looked at him as did Chad.

She pecked his lips, softly. She pulled away and rested her forehead on his, "I love you too." She whispered. Chad smiled and his smile always made her smile. He just had that type of contagious smile.

It was done. Their first i love yous.

That hour past and the plane landed at the airport in Tree Hill. It was time to see Peyton. It was time to see everyone that they haven't seen in over four years.
