JAMIE lived a life that teetered on the edge of excitement. As an SSA of the Hostage Rescue Team, she went from doing weeks of paperwork to being in the field at the drop of a dime. Not that it bothered her — she lived for the thrill, even if being an adrenaline junky was frowned upon in the FBI. And for a while, Jamie liked the ups and downs of her life; the way that she could go from sweating in a bulletproof vest to sitting in an office for days on end.

Then, the HRT is called for a case. Just like any other one — some hostages in an office building in the middle of DC's business district. She doesn't think anything of it when she's padding up, getting ready to go straight to the front lines. But when Jamie gets there and the boy she went to college with is standing right next to her Unit Chief, her mind blanks for a second. And in her profession, a blank mind is just as good as a bullet in the head.

notes:
-so in my mind this takes place either in season ten when kate is on the team or with tara in season 13. it could go either way.

-concept is that jamie was in a prodigy program with spencer and they went to college together but lost contact over the years, so she's surprised to find out that he's in the fbi as well.

-jamie is an adrenaline junky and it gets her put into compromised situations at times, but overall she's levelheaded.
